The instructor in the course was just adding some humor and mentions that he is just joking at several points. We find that adding some humor to online courses makes them more enjoyable and engaging. The course being referenced here has a 97.4% pass...

rate so it is very effective. In regards to the refund check, check #[redacted] was mailed to the customer but was returned due to [redacted] stating it was an incorrect address. We emailed for the correct address information but did not receive a reply. Perhaps we have an incorrect email or maybe our email went to the spam folder. At any case we certainly want to help provide the customer with their refund. We would certainly never ignore a customer needing assistance. Our courses all have a 100% satisfaction guarantee so we would like to resend the refund check. We just need to know what address the customer would like the refund check sent to and we will resend it via overnight mail and provide a tracking number. In addition to the refund, we would also like to offer the customer another course free of charge to see if the customer would be pleased with a different course/instructor.

We are happy to extend this customers access to his course at no charge. We just need the customers information in order to look up the account and extend it. If the customer can call us at ###-###-#### and ask for Debbie L[redacted], we would be happy to extend this students login.

Review: There have been several reasons I have not been able to access my SQL online classes I purchased. It started with the school granting me access to a class I did not sign up for instead of the SQL class I paid for. When I initially logged in to start my SQL class it was an option of classes in my course list.

Once I joined course I was instructed to download of SQL and SQL server, I attempted to download SQL server as provided through the course direction. Once downloaded I was unable to access the sample program designed for learning. I left several messages with customer/tech services. Once I finally received a message back, Rich left his number and extension to call back. Each time I called the number and extension I had the voicemail of someone new. No one has called me back or tried to contact me via email. I did forward and email to get assistance and the email forwarded in reply was the duplicate of those on the course page to follow to get the SQL downloaded. Since these were the same instructions I originally filed they did not help. I even purchased a new compute and tried to download all the class material on it and have difficulty. Finally, the last attempts to login to IT University online I was told they do not have my email on file, however I still continue to receive emails from them for advertisement of courses available.Desired Settlement: I would like the time lost to be extended to my course period. I have unable to work within the program after the first two months. I would also like customer service/tech support to assist with the loading of SQL Server to my new computer so I can begin the course study. If they are unable to assist and have the SQL downloaded to my computer, which is an essential part of the course I would like my money back.

Review: I purchased the ITU Online program for Medical Billing and Coding from the [redacted] website. There was no mention of additional purchases necessary to complete this course. After purchasing the voucher used to access the course on [redacted], I proceeded to register. After registering THEN you are told you will need to have certain books for the course. I proceeded with the beginning of the course assuming that the mentioned books would be electronically provided since there was no prior mention of purchasing books. There were no electronic books. The books need to be purchased in addition to the program.(IS THIS INFORMATION NOT VITAL PRIOR TO PURCHASING THE PROGRAM?) Prior to realizing the books aren't provided online, I began the first modules, I quickly learned that the "instructor" read strictly from Power Points(which I could have read myself) with NO additional instruction. The Power Points were the teaching. The instructor also lacked knowledge of pronunciation in the Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology(VERY IMPORTANT). There was also a huge discrepancy between the "teaching" and the exams. I am Very, Very Dissatisfied! It was one mess after the next and I did not proceed.Desired Settlement: I only want my 99.00 Dollars refunded.

Review: The purpose of the complaint is to expose a low quality IT certification e-learning program being perpetuated by IT University Online through [redacted] in the form of low priced training package which does not coincide well with official formal training materials through CompTIA. Logging into the site starts with an insecure authentication (not HTTPS or SSL) to the training modules which consist of disorganized video e-learning which briefly touches and skims on random concepts of the formal certification curriculum without being properly tied together or related in any way of value. The practice tests do not have the quantity of test questions to be considered any use and do not approximate the official ~100 question exam format by CompTIA. We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all of our courses so the customer simply needed to call us directly to request a refund and it would have been granted immediately. Upon receiving this notice we have processed the customers refund. To comment on what the customer said, we do have a 100 question test at the end of the course. We also have a secure login and follow the official content so it seems that the customer was mistaken on all of those points. At any case, the refund has been processed and we have spoken to the customer to make sure he is satisfied with the resolution.

The money I spent on the online training was refunded promptly and professionally. The matter was resolved with a refund.

The claim of a secure login is incorrect and can be disproven by checking for SSL certificate at the login page and right click -> page source / view page source and look for the method of login; in this case a simple post of id and password to php page of the e-learning platform in clear text. The e-learning platform (Moodle in this case) may be secure in the back end at the actual site where it is hosted but all the login and password information is constantly being sent in cleartext to the site from the host computers using it.

Simply because the e-learning platform supports security doesn't mean it was implemented in this case. [redacted]
