Promised tall wonderful men in my area -- and the men Iâ ve "dated" are not even remotely close to what I was promised in the very slick and personal marketing department at Itâ s Just Lunch! --- THIS IS A RIP OFF! They have almost NO CLIENTS in their "inventory" Just came back from my third date -- I insisted that they tell the man that I am 5' 10" tall so that he (who they say is 5' 8" tall) will not be shocked like my first date was when he first saw meThe date last night was actually 5' 5" tall - I wore the flattest sandals --his shoulder came up to my breast! He brought up height later in the conversation (again it was a deal breaker for him on sight) and said that the "dating specialist/director" from IJL had told him that I was "around his height" We had nothing in commonThe only thing that all three dates and I had in common is that we are totally disappointed with IJL and have been lied to and mis-handled to the point of humiliationThe second date had been on the service for their year contract - was the most eligible being actually 6' tall -- but wanted me to take him back to my place for SEXReally all this custom service (not!) and the guy thinks it is his escort service one year on the "service" later??? Humiliating and difficult experience where you feel like no one understands or cares what you want AFTER their VERY EXPERT marketing staff is done with you ! SUCKSDon't do itOh, and the reason you get no matches from the Bay Area is THAT IS AN IJL FRANCHISE AREA - and the main IJL and a franchise don't work togetherIn Sacramento -- the good men are on the grid or in mid-town -- and that place is like a college campus -- and they don't need any service -- they are not on [redacted] and they certainly aren't going to pay this amount of money (mine was $2400) when they can just walk down the street and join their friends at the many restaurants and bars, yoga studios, art galleries and government relations interactionsNope -- foothill women and "greater Sacramento" women must do their own work on [redacted] and by being socialBelieve all negative reviewsAll positive reviews are posted by It's Just Lunch!

I made this very clear to the company when they contacted meThey are not being truthful with youI made it very clear that I was only interested in a full refund
Furthermore, this new "coach" is more of the sameThey proposed sending me on a date in Atlanta, GA hours from my home! They claim that they will provide you with dates "in your area"Driving hours to meet someone is not what any reasonable person would call "in your area."
They have fundamentally failed to live up to their promises and continue to failThe only acceptable solution is a full refund of my purchase price

Even if matches in the Atlanta area were acceptable they fail to address the absurdly poor "matches" that they proposed as referenced in my original complaint
They fail to acknowledge that they have not remotely lived up to their promise to provide matches that were relevant to meThe matches are so absurdly bad (as referenced in my prior complaint) either they: (1) have put zero effort into finding matches are even mildly relevant; or, (2) they are so imcompetant that they actually believe that they have been proffering appropriate matches
The only acceptable solution is a refund in full

I paid $in November It is currently February 13, and I have been presented with a total of matches thus far None that I have met in person, for the following reasons: Dates and both live hours from me I was specifically told in the initial sales pitch that there would be plenty of people in my area as possible matches I would consider an hour, tops....to be my area Date #3's marital status is "separated" A "separated" person is legally married and not available for dating....at least on a professional dating site Of course people do what they want in life, but why would a dating service accept a candidate who is not legally available to date? Perhaps the $has something to do with it I have also been given conflicting information as to when people are actually met by IJL staff to actually know that the clientele are who they say they are I was told initially that all clientele are met with prior to any dating experiences This gave me comfort in knowing that the information presented at least from a physical standpoint had been validated My "Dating Director" has advised this is not correct and that you only meet with IJL staff after you go on date This does not seem logical Further, I have not been able to contact anyone to voice my concerns/dissatisfaction as I receive voicemail and no return contact I am told there is only one manager in my territory and the person on the phone sending the messages to call me back, named Gigi does not know what the Manager's name is, nor is there a direct line This is a complete rip off!!

If a client cancels a date that IJL has scheduled and coordinated for them and does not agree to reschedule, that is one of the satisfying dates in the membership agreementA date is defined as "IJL will coordinate the schedules of its Clients and Participants and book a meeting for an introduction between two Clients or a Client and a Participant at a venue selected by IJL (hereafter "Date Introduction")."
We wish this consumer the best in her dating journey, however, her account has been satisfied

Yes, at this point the credit card company has awarded me the $It's Just Lunch (IJL) is still trying to fight the award in my favor but my credit card company is helping me against IJLBecause of the tardiness in IJL's replies to Revdex.com, I have also reported IJL the the California Attorney General's officeI have had zero dates through IJL at this timeTwo thousand dollars is a lot of money to pay to a company for NO results, NO service, and a lot of headaches & wasted time! I will keep you updated on the further antics of this company as it pertains to me if there is a changeI am hoping the present verdict of the credit card company will be the end of my dealings with IJL & we can both go our separate waysThank you for your help with this matter
