Review: I have a voip phone service from a provider called ITP. They are available at [redacted] or itpvoip.com.

My acc. no with them is [redacted]

The original amount per month, we have agreed upon is $31plus change. But the provider is charging my credit card which is stored on their system amounts which are not recognized. Those charges are being called "Usage Charges". These charges are about double or triple the regular monthly charges. The provider is accusing me of using the phone for business purposes, which is NOT true. The method they used to come to that conclusion is I making back to back calls. I have done that on the new year's eve, when I called all my friends and family to wish them happy new year.

Above all this clause is not mentioned in the legal agreement they provided. This charges are NOT notified either by email or postal mail.

The customer service is putting me on a voice mail which is already full.

I sincerely dispute

@ they charging my credit card with out proper explanation and the reason for charging is not part of the legal agreement.

@The method they used to decide to subject me extra money is not a valid one.

@They are not intimating the customer about the extra charge incurred by the customer.

@The customer service when asked for a Supervisor for explanation, is putting me on a voice mail which is already full.

@Now they sent me a collection notice and I paid immediately because, if not, my credit would be ruined. This is America where Consumers are helpless when a business literally RAPES their credit history.

@ I ALSO COMPLAINED AT [redacted] WEBSITE FOR WHICH THEY ACKNOWLEDGED BUT NO ACTION AS YET.Desired Settlement: I want them to straighten their billing policy and not charge fraudulently from Customers Credit Cards and not inform them.

I want them to refund my unreasonably charged money.

Review: contacted the above company about telephone service.asked if it would work with satellite internet service, they stated that it would.I paid an installation fee on my credit card and never had phone service that I could use.on aug.*,2 days after I received the router for phone service{and after several calls to their customer service line},I cancelled.I was told the installation fee could not be refunded because it was my internet providers fault.my internet provider told me that this type of service will not work well with internet phone.they refuse to refund my money or send a mailing label so I can ship the router.Desired Settlement: credit card reimbursed for amount paid .

Response:

To Whom It May Concern,

ITP is a highly regarded provider of residential and business internet telephone services. This response is regarding a complaint filed by [redacted] for an account she signed up for in July 2013.

As an internet telephone provider, we offer phone service using the customer’s existing High Speed Internet connection. Our service is compatible with any form of broadband service including Satellite. [redacted]’s telephone service was working and she was able to make and receive calls after some routine troubleshooting with one of our technicians. She was however not happy about the call quality she was receiving. Unfortunately, this has nothing to do with our network but rather the speeds being provided by her ISP.

Our technician did inform [redacted] that the issue rested with Dish Network, her internet provider, and that she should contact them to determine what steps they could take to improve her quality. [redacted] then decided to cancel her account with ITP.

ITP’s activation and shipping fees are non-refundable, this too was explained to [redacted] when she closed the account. Her service has been terminated and her equipment has since been returned to ITP. We kindly request that you consider this matter closed.

Should you need any further assistance, please feel free to contact our offices.

Sincerely,

Dispute Resolution Department

Review: Back In May of 2013 I needed a phone service for telecommuting for my job.

I had made the mistake of picking ITP due to all the "great" reviews of this company

While I guess the service was fair at best the issue is the billing. When my telecommuting ended I canceled the phone

line On Sept [redacted]. I had as requested shipped their equipment back , what I didn't know was the package was rejected from them

and [redacted] returned it to me to a nearby bush near my home and it stayed there for weeks with noone noticing it.

On November [redacted] of 2013 I recieved a random invoice from ITP for 99.99$ with no reason for the charges. I called up and was informed the charges

were for the box not being returned. I tried to explain that I did return it however with this company that was like talking to a rock.

I managed to pull the tracking info and saw it was rejected and that [redacted] had left it so I tracked down the package and found it by the bush.

When I contacted the support staff on Nov [redacted] I was given this reply

Support Form Ref. #[redacted] "SUPPORT STAFF RESPONSE

please return the equipment.( ITP phone adapter)

Thank You, [redacted]

I went out to the post office and had it returned this time I insured it I have the following tracking number

[redacted] If that link doesnt work they can plug in the tracking number into the [redacted]ite

its [redacted]

As you can see the package was both insured and delivery confirm (signature required) the package was signed for

I would have thought that would have been the end of it but then on Dec [redacted] of 2013 I get a

"2nd notice" of demand of this phantom 99.99$ charge.

I was told as soon as they got the adapter back (see support email) the charges would be removed. This company is claiming they will

send it to collections and .

I had included the orginal "invoice" with the phone adapter so there is no mistake that they couldn't find my account.Desired Settlement: I want the "bill" removed and credited for them getting the phone adapter back

I want them to stop contacting me and remove me from their database except where required by law for tax reasons

I want an apology from the company for continuing to harass me when I no longer have their phone adapter

Response:

[redacted] To Whom It May Concern, ITP is a highly regarded provider of residential and business internet telephone services. This response is regarding a complaint filed by [redacted] for an account he signed up for in May 2013. During the time he enjoyed our service, [redacted] never contacted us with any issues but as per his request, his account was canceled on September [redacted], 2013. Upon cancellation, he is informed to return the ITP device. We also sent [redacted] an email confirming his termination which included explicit instructions on how to return our equipment within 30 days. We did not receive his equipment until November [redacted], 2013, well past the allotted time. As per our policy, ITP attempted to charge [redacted] for the equipment once the [redacted] day arrived but the payment was declined by his bank. We have sent him several notifications about the balance due for his equipment, all to which he failed to respond. As it stands, we have confirmed that we have received our equipment from [redacted] on November [redacted], 2013 and therefore his balance has been cleared. Please consider this matter resolved. Should you need any further assistance, please feel free to contact our offices. Sincerely, [redacted]
