Promised tall wonderful men in my area -- and the men I’ve "dated" are not even remotely close to what I was promised in the very slick and personal marketing department at It’s Just Lunch! --- THIS IS A RIP OFF! They have almost NO CLIENTS in their "inventory".
Just came back from my third date -- I insisted that they tell the man that I am 5' 10" tall so that he (who they say is 5' 8" tall) will not be shocked like my first date was when he first saw me. The date last night was actually 5' 5" tall - I wore the flattest sandals --his shoulder came up to my breast! He brought up height later in the conversation (again it was a deal breaker for him on sight) and said that the "dating specialist/director" from IJL had told him that I was "around his height". We had nothing in common. The only thing that all three dates and I had in common is that we are totally disappointed with IJL and have been lied to and mis-handled to the point of humiliation. The second date had been on the service for their year contract - was the most eligible being actually 6' tall -- but wanted me to take him back to my place for SEX. Really . . . all this custom service (not!) and the guy thinks it is his escort service . . . one year on the "service" later??? Humiliating and difficult experience where you feel like no one understands or cares what you want . . . AFTER their VERY EXPERT marketing staff is done with you ! SUCKS. Don't do it. Oh, and the reason you get no matches from the Bay Area is THAT IS AN IJL FRANCHISE AREA - and the main IJL and a franchise don't work together. In Sacramento -- the good men are on the grid or in mid-town -- and that place is like a college campus -- and they don't need any service -- they are not on [redacted] and they certainly aren't going to pay this amount of money (mine was $2400) when they can just walk down the street and join their friends at the many restaurants and bars, yoga studios, art galleries and government relations interactions. Nope -- foothill women and "greater Sacramento" women must do their own work on [redacted] and by being social. Believe all negative reviews. All positive reviews are posted by It's Just Lunch!

This is a copy of the email sent to me from Revdex.com on 6/15/2015. There is a paper trail to document my communications with IJL , Revdex.com, & my credit card company. And if IJL employees are truthful, there should be recordings of the multiple phone conversations I have had with IJL employees to corroborate my claims of lack of fulfillment of my contract with IJL.

Yes, at this point the credit card company has awarded me the $2000.00. It's Just Lunch (IJL) is still trying to fight the award in my favor but my credit card company is helping me against IJL. Because of the tardiness in IJL's replies to Revdex.com, I have also reported IJL the the California Attorney General's office. I have had zero dates through IJL at this time. Two thousand dollars is a lot of money to pay to a company for NO results, NO service, and a lot of headaches & wasted time! I will keep you updated on the further antics of this company as it pertains to me if there is a change. I am hoping the present verdict of the credit card company will be the end of my dealings with IJL & we can both go our separate ways. Thank you for your help with this matter.

The 2nd chargeback from the consumer's credit card company was filed on June 26th. We have responded to the chargeback request and are waiting for a decision to be made with the Credit Card Company. We currently do not have the funds pertaining to her membership and are pending the decision from her Credit Card Company.

I paid $2400 in November 2014. It is currently February 13, 2015 and I have been presented with a total of 3 matches thus far. None that I have met in person, for the following reasons: Dates 1 and 2 both live 2 hours from me. I was specifically told in the initial sales pitch that there would be plenty of people in my area as possible matches. I would consider an 1 hour, tops....to be my area. Date #3's marital status is "separated". A "separated" person is legally married and not available for dating....at least on a professional dating site. Of course people do what they want in life, but why would a dating service accept a candidate who is not legally available to date? Perhaps the $2400 has something to do with it. I have also been given conflicting information as to when people are actually met by IJL staff to actually know that the clientele are who they say they are. I was told initially that all clientele are met with prior to any dating experiences. This gave me comfort in knowing that the information presented at least from a physical standpoint had been validated. My "Dating Director" has advised this is not correct and that you only meet with IJL staff after you go on 1 date. This does not seem logical. Further, I have not been able to contact anyone to voice my concerns/dissatisfaction as I receive voicemail and no return contact. I am told there is only one manager in my territory and the person on the phone sending the messages to call me back, named Gigi does not know what the Manager's name is, nor is there a direct line. This is a complete rip off!!

They said they needed to "start recruiting dates for me in Des Moines" which is what I paid for in the first place. They said I didn't qualify for a refund since I had already gone on three dates. I explained that had I known those people weren't from the Des Moines area I would have never agreed to meet them. All they offered me was a free date.

The company tactics used are coercive, the stance of not refunding a customers money when poor service has been provided is unacceptable. The quality or pool is limited and not what has been represented by the print ads and salespeople. They should not be allowed to do business in any state when they are in breach of their own contract and can't provide quality service. They try to force customers to accept their poor service. Therefore leaving you no choice but to sue them for your money. This is not a good business practice and they will be sued based on principle and poor service. There are no real benefits to their so called membership that justifies the cost and refusal to refund the customers money. Anyone can go on-line and do what they have done for free.

four dates, whichever comes later. IJL provided the Consumer with four dates under her membership. The Consumer contacted IJL and stated that she believed she was owed an additional date. In good faith and to address the Consumer's concerns, IJL provided the Consumer with an additional match under her membership. IJL presented that match to the Consumer who declined to schedule a meeting with the individual presented. IJL has provided a total of five matches to the Consumer and has serviced her agreement to fulfillment. We wish the Consumer the best in the future and consider this matter resolved.

I still would like a refund. The one date was fine but the following one was not. I specially asked not to be matched with anybody younger than me or with someone who didn't have a degree. Yet and still they matched me with him anyway. I also asked was the match physically fit because that's important to me, the rep stated "I can't tell from the picture but I don't think he's unfit". Well just from a facially picture you can tell if someone is fit or not he wasn't physically fit at all. Only positive of date is that we had a good conversation. Their where other issues which I won't discuss because of privacy issues. But this company is a joke, I wish you would refund me versus practically forcing me to take dates when the matches you set me up with aren't the qualities that I'm looking for.
