It's New To Me

None of that is true.  No one was fired from my store and no one in my employment extended the contract that was signed by the person in the complaint.  Consignment stores have contracts for a reason to keep merchandise current, new and looking fresh.  They never came for their items until 6 months after the contract ended.  I have Habitat for Humanity come to the stores frequently to donate old merchandise that is past the 90 days that we deem unsalable.

In response to the complaint filed with the Revdex.com on 10/2/2015, the consignment contract clearly states that consigning items with It's...

New To Me is for a period of 90 days. After 90 days all unsold items must be retrieved by the consignor or It's New To Me may donate the items to charity. Items are accepted for sale at the risk of the consignor and are not Insured by It's New To Me or It's owner.
The consignor in question consigned her items on 8/17/14, the items that were sold totaled $48 her half was $24, check #[redacted] was mailed to her on 11/14/2014 she cashed It on 11/17/2014. The consignment period ended on 11/17/14. The consignor never returned to pick up her items until 6/26/15, 7 months after the consignment period ended and 310 days after she dropped them off. I spoke with her on 6/27/15 and told her I would pull her paperwork when I was In the Ross store to talk about her Items. I called her on 7/1/2015 and left a message. She retrieved 19 items, sold 4 items and the 7 remaining items are either still on the sales floor or were donated.
For the past 11 1/2 years my staff and I have been available Tuesday thru Saturday from 10 to 5. We strive to accommodate all 3800 consignors.

Review: The owner has either lost or sold a number of our items but refuses to admit to that and then to compensate us for the loss. We attempted for well over six months to reach her when the shop where we left the items claimed they didn't have them. When we finally reached her we suggested she consider them sold and give us half of the ticket prices, which is the consignment agreement and totals only $56.00 ($112.00 ticket total), but she launched into insults and accusations, calling us "crazy," and then hung up on us. We have paperwork showing the items which sold and others which we picked up but the 8 remaining items have disappeared and are now lost to us. Previous employees and consignees of the store have told us this is not unusual behavior for the owner and they no longer deal with her as a consequence. Her treatment of my spouse and I is unacceptable and consumers need to know what they are getting into when they consign their property to her.Desired Settlement: We want paid for the lost items since the owner obviously can't find them or has sold them but refuses to acknowledge either result.
