It was also told to her that it is a promotional package and the requirement was she takes a tour of each reception center in a 10 minute radius of where they are staying (accessible by the rental that's included) to get familiar with them and keep us in mind for future travel. I asked the the contact person was there a promotion involved, and she would not give me an answer. She just continued talking and asking for my credit card. What this company is doing is legal, however the means in which they carry out the promotion is morally a scam. Continuous pressure as demonstrated is a scam. If she had told me there was a sales presentation, I would not have accepted. I am only going through with this trip because  I cannot get my $574 back. And I am taking it out in trade. I already own a place in Florida, so I will be there anyway. If this was a proper business there would be no requirement to mislead people, and one should be able to receive a rebate when they fully understand that they have been tricked.

The letter clearly indicates that this client has been scammed. When that is not the case he is set to travel as of 2/24/2014, as far as I'm concerned  a "scam" is when you purchase something that is not real/true. So it is clear that the promotion he...

registered for is legit. Regarding touring the resorts the customer was advised prior to the purchase that he would be touring the resorts to get familiar with them and there would be no purchase of anything required.

Dear Sir or Madam:

Re: Confirmation # [redacted] I received a call from your fast talking promoters advising me I had won a vacation, from a contest that I had entered. Being late in the evening, and in bed, I listened and finally asked the girl "do I have to attend a sales promotion meeting?" I did not receive a yes or no answer. She said I don't have to buy anything. I asked this question twice and did not receive a yes or no answer. There was a considerable amount of talking by this person, very pushy, and I was asked a number of times for my credit card number. If she would have given me a direct answer "yes", I would not be writing this letter, and having a terrible feeling that I have been scammed. I would have ended the conversation immediately. I also made it very clear to this person that my wife and I own property in Florida and are not in need of additional property.

I have been taken, you have my deposit of $500 US, and I am unable to get it back, because now I have received the truth in the list of rules e-mailed to me on this day. If you listen to the recording, I requested that information be E-mailed to me when I was talking to the original contact, before I gave my credit card number. I called [redacted] of your staff, trying to cancel to no avail.

I have had many, many calls in my 77 years, from people such as you, trying to take advantage of me. I guess you have won the prize, this time.

One of the things your person did say, was we only have to spread the word about the locations we visit.

Well we will be arriving at the first location on Feb 24, 2014, and the second location on Feb 27, 2014.

We will be taking the Presentations at both locations, and you can rest assured that we will definitely be spreading the word about our terrible experience any time we see someone, in our travels throughout the Globe, and on cruises.

If anything comes out of this letter, and I am not very positive that anything will, it is hoped, that if your company is not listed among the scam artists, you will advise your sales staff to please answer a question honestly, and not sidestep it in another direction or mislead when talking to future victims. This will at least put everyone on an equal playing field.

Thank you for a very stressful and disappointing experience. I got suckered, too bad.

If anyone reads this letter, thank you.

Review: I Received a call from this travel agency claiming I have won a vacation to numerous destinations, such as Orlando, Daytona, Mexico,etc... I requested numerous times during our conversation that I would like to have them send me a detailed package via email so I could review it and see if it would appeal to me. And I felt as if it was too good to be true. The sales person was very adamant that they were unable to send me the package I "won" until I confirmed my [redacted] number. There was going to be a small charge of $574.00 in total. After further back in forth with the sales person agreed to the package. The reason I did agree is because I was currently planning a vacation for my family to go to Disneyworld. They told me they could set me up in one of their Orlando "Resorts" just outside of Disney plus a FREE rental Car plus FREE Disney ticket during my stay. It was all very clever how they worded everything. After receiving the package via email I was sick to my stomach to what I agreed to. The "resorts" they offer are motels at best. I have to do a 90min tour of a resort 30min away from the one I am staying FOR EVER DESTINATION I visit. This was never mentioned. I am unable to attend the tour by myself. I must bring my entire family. I have 3 young children; I am not doing this for 90min with my 3 young children. My Rental car is not free I must pay daily tax on it my accommodations are not FREE I have to Pay nightly taxes, My Disney tickets I would be given during my stay (after my tour) was a total of 2 one day one park tickets, for my family of 5 on my 7 day vacation. They are now telling me that I am unable to book certain destinations until further notice. I have never felt so Scammed in my entire life and it is no one’s fault but my own. I really would love a refund of my $651.54 CDN BY THE WAY....this was also not mentioned. But they have refused to refund me. I call the next morning to cancel and they refuse to give me my money back.Desired Settlement: Refund.
