This morning I received an email from *** at IXL Learning and am pleased to hear that
they have refunded my money in full, the $199.50, and that I should receive it in 5-daysThey were most pleasant in their responses to my emails

I still think the Revdex.com should pursue legislation requiring businesses that use auto-renewal to notify subscribers when funds are withdrawn

Based on Mr*** complaint, it sounds like the trial he is referring to is IXL's 30-day satisfaction guarantee, as we do not offer free trials for family memberships (free trials are available for school memberships only)Per our Terms of Service and our
satisfaction guarantee policy: By starting an IXL membership, the customer is expressly agreeing that we are authorized to charge them the membership fee associated with the type of membership chosen during registration, charged to the Payment Method the customer provided during registrationThe customer's IXL membership will continue in effect (auto-renew) unless and until they cancel their membership or IXL terminates itIt is the customer's responsibility to notify IXL before the initial 30-day period is over that they would like to cancel their subscription; however, we do not have any record of Mr*** requesting a cancellation via email or phoneAfter the initial 30-day period, customers are welcome to cancel their membership at any time, but we do not provide refunds or credits for any partially used membership periodsOur records show that on April 8, 2017, we made an exception to our policies and resolved this issue by refunding Mr*** months of charges, as well as canceled his membership and any future paymentsWe apologize for any inconvenience he may have experienced

Regarding Mrs. [redacted]'s complaint that she did not receive services from IXL, our records show that she contacted us October 17, 2014 asking to recover her username and password; however, we were unable to locate her account based on the information she provided, and we did not receive a further response from her when we asked for additional details. Additionally, our records show her membership did not start until December 8, 2014, about two months after she had called to inquire about her account.
