J & A Medical's collection agent, [redacted] Collection Agency, has finally resolved our issue of payment for use of a bed for seven months ($1,400) and payment for a lost bed ($2,000).  The collection agent informed me that the issue of the bed is strictly between J & A Medical and [redacted], as it was [redacted] who originally took the bed.

Review: J & A Medical Home Care Inc sent a bill in December 2013 for bed rental in the amount of $1,400.00 for June through December for use by my father who passed away May 21, 2013. He was is assisted living and we vacated the facility on May 27, 2013. We called J & A to find out why we were being billed after my father's death. They responded that the estate was responsible for the rental and $2,000.00 for the cost of the bed that they did not get returned. We called J & A and asked why were we just notified in December and they stated that the rejections from the insurance company take a while. We researched previous bills and found that J & A was paid promptly by the insurance company within 10 days of receipt. J & A informed us they were turning us over to collections which they did within less than 30 days. On January 23, 2014 we received a letter from the [redacted] collection agency. I called the collection agency and explained the situation and they advised us to contact the assisted living facility to see if they could find the bed.The assisted living facility could not find the bed. We have been attempting for months to resolve this issue. We found out that [redacted] a different company has the bed and it is in use by a patient. [redacted] has tried to replace the J & A bed with a newer and better bed. J & A will not accept. I tried to talk to a manager at J & A and they will not talk to me as the case is in collections. J & A will not talk to [redacted] either. The billing clerk [redacted] has been unhelpful, unwilling and rude to me, my husband, the assisted living facility and [redacted]. We want this to be resolved as soon as possible as we do not want our credit damaged.Desired Settlement: We want the case removed from collections. My father passed away on May 21, 2013 and why would we pay rent for 7 months and charge us for the bed when they did not notify us until December 19, 2013. J & A knows [redacted] has the bed and will not work with them.
