informed us no problem waitingWe received the parts in – we installed them and cleaned all switches and controlsTested all functions and inputs of the unit for 5 days – it was completed 2/13/2015I left it hooked up and played on my benchThe customer stopped by 2/15/2016 to pick it upI disconnected from my bench which it was playing. He called at the end of business day stating that it was playing great and then he hooked up a cd playerAt which time it started crackling and smoked. Which I asked him if the wiring or speakers were shortedBecause I played it here with several inputs(tape player, cd player, cell phone, turntable)He was informed to bring it back in. We carry a 90 warranty on our work. 2/19/2016 he was called and left a voicemail regarding if he was returning it. Still haven’t heard anything from the customer since he called in 2/15/2016  Joel [redacted]

Review: I dropped off my JVC home stereo receiver to be repaired on 9/8/14. Posted on their wall it stated that for this type of equipment it would be about 2 weeks for diagnostic results. The charge for this was $55.00 plus $2.75 tax for total of $57.75, which on their receipt said it was non refundable. I paid this charge no problem because I wanted to get my husbands receiver repaired. So I expected a call after 2 wks to tell me what was wrong - that never happened. After 2 months I called them and they told me that they were waiting for parts - but they did not say what was wrong or what parts were needed. Then about 2 months later I called them again since they had not contacted me at all and was told that the parts they ordered were being shipped to them and the receiver should be repaired and ready to be picked up the following week. However again that did not happen. The about another 2 months later I called again and was told they were waiting for parts - I mentioned that the last time I called it was being shipped to them - the girl said she did not know but waiting for parts was the status of repair. She then said that I could pick up the unit or leave it there. I finally picked up still broken unit today 5/2/15 seeing that they either did not know how to repair unit or did not know what was wrong with unit. When I picked up still broken unit on the receipt it said they had installed some parts and they failed after awhile. My biggest complaint was the extreme lack of communication from them. Not 1 time did they call me. I always had to call them to get any updates and the only updates I got is that they were waiting for parts. I would not recommend this business at all. I would recommend anyone thinking of using this business to repair anything to stay away!!!!!!Desired Settlement: I realize that they stated that the diagnostic fee was non refundable however after having my unit for 7 months and still not repairing the unit I deserve to have this refunded to me especially after not calling me to give me any updates in all that time - customer service is non-exsistant with them.

I contacted J&J about the possibility of getting Dish Network. I explained to them that I wasn't able to get DirecTV because there was no clear path to the satellite and couldn't get a signal. I asked if the Dish satellites were in the same general location. They said they were more to the SE and they thought I could get it based on what they saw on google maps. I agreed to have them come out and check to see if I could get it. They took all my info and said that I wouldn't be charged until it was verified I could get the signal. Well, the tech came out and determined that I wasn't able to get the signal. I then checked my CC statement and noticed they billed me for the service even though it was agreed upon in advance that they wouldn't. I then emailed the sales person Valerie about the problem. She said I would be credited. After several days, no credit. I then sent two more emails about this and neither was answered. I have since disputed the charge with my credit card company and got the charges reversed. Terrible business ethics. I would not recommend J&J Electronics Appleton.

Review: Customer Service! I took a piece of stereo equipment in for repair on the 3-25-14 and it was diagnosed within 3 weeks. This unit is very important for my theater system to work properly. I would call every 2 weeks to see if it was done. I was always told the tec was on a service call. After a while it turned to your part is on back order. On Monday June 30 I told the person in the office I was going to call the Revdex.com and guess what the tec was their and guess what my part had just came in. Although, he had apiece on the bench ahead of me he assured me he would have my unit done my Wednesday July 2 on the 2nd he said by the end of the day on July 3 Guess what he has been on a services call seance. I have talked to others in the past month and its my conclusion that this is the way they do business that's sad.
