On August 27, 2011 a tree fell on our home causing damage to the roof, gutter, door, siding and lights. Contacted J & B Roofing, they came out and examined the damage, met with insurance adjuster and were given the approval for repair work from the insurance company. A check was issued from the insurance company for the amount quoted by J & B Roofing. This information was communicated to the Estimator. I had many phone conversations with the Estimator to find out when we might expect to have repairs started. I was told they were behind schedule. In October I called both the Estimator and the office and left a message that while I understood they were behind schedule, if they could just replace the gutter I was willing to wait for the remainder of the repairs. Note, that although we were told the roof needed repair, we were not told the extent of the damage and no protection to the roof damage was taken. During the week of October 24 we had heavy rain which caused water to leak into my bedroom and living room causing damage to my ceilings, floor coverings and furnishings. I called the Estimator about the water that was coming in and was told "that was impossible" and that "he would see if he could get out to look at the problem". He never followed through. Days later, I called the office about the water situation and was told they had no contract for me. Although the Estimator had mailed a work order listing the repairs and the cost, we were never advised that we were to sign and return this. This only came up from the office assistant. I then contacted the Production Manager/Partner who told me he would look into the matter and get back to me. I am again still waiting.
