Our Sales Managers are not experts in Mold and thought the stains were dirt or grease and again we didn't want to sell a vehicle to customer with Mold on the interior to this customer or any other customer so we wholesaled the vehicle. Thanks, *** ***

CindyThank you This email is the first time any condition other than 'completely refundable' was communicated to me After this email I called Tony and he stated it was the first he had heard of this also He stated that the decision to hold my deposit was made by the general sales manager Rodney B*** and there was nothing that he could do.*** *** Hi Mr***, I have forwarded your request to the mgtteam and understand your situation. The deposit is collected to ensure the cost of a backhaul to bring in the vehicle for you in the event that you do not purchase the vehicle. It is 100% refundable at the time of delivery. In this situation you are not taking delivery and therefore your deposit will be refunded when the vehicle sells. Tony Thanks for the update To reiterate the current situation, I have placed a $refundable deposit on my credit card for you to find and hold a Tacoma Offroad 4xaccess cab In our conversation you ensured that if a purchase was not made the entire deposit was refundable Unfortunately my financial situation has just changed and I am no longer in a position to buy a new vehicle at this time You have been most helpful and I plan on contacting you when I am ready to purchase In the meantime, please refund the $deposit to my *** Credit Card I am looking forward to a later purchase of a new Tacoma with you. We have been in contact with the credit union trying to remedy this situationThis whole incident was just a misunderstanding on the customer’s sideWe gave the customer two purchase orders because one reflected the extended warranty and one did notWhen the customer gave the paperwork to the
credit union to cut the check they used the buyer’s order that did not include the price of the warrantyThe credit union subtracted the amount for the warranty when it was never added on to begin withBecause they subtracted that amount the check that was cut was $less than the price that was agreed upon by the customer and the finance managerThe finance manager has tried to explain this to the customer and the credit union, but has not had any luckThe car was returned to the customer and all we ask is that she pay the difference of $that she owes and agreed to

Our general manager called the customer on 9/15/to apologize for the misunderstandingThe general manager and the customer were able to come to an agreementThe van was purchased on 9/15/

After sending the Toyota *** to our detail department they discovered the vehicle had mold on the seats and they couldn't remove the spots. We didn't want to sell the vehicle on our lot due to the issue with Mold so we wholesaled the vehicle. We did tell *** *** that we
would find another vehicle but we have to find a vehicle that fits within her approval guidelines. *** *** credit was pulled in order to obtain an approval on the *** with the Negative equity she had on her *** * trade and she did authorize us to obtain financing. Thanks, *** *** ***

We received the customer’s information on 10/11/On 10/13/customer stated he was comparing prices and would be in contact with usThen on 10/16/the customer wanted to add XSP package, safety package, and tow packageThe following day the customer came into the dealership he stated
he wanted to add weather mats and wanted the out the door priceThe sales manager was able to locate the vehicle that the customer was requesting in JacksonvilleThe customer did put a $deposit down that is refundable once the vehicle is purchasedOn 10/23/Tony J*** called the customer to let him know the car would be arriving soon and took a little longer than usual because it was all the way in Jacksonville, FloridaThe customer called Tony back the following day to state he wouldn’t be able to purchase the vehicle at this time because of financial reasonsTony contacted the customer to let him know the truck would arrive the following day in case he changed his mindThe customer reiterated that he did not want the vehicle at this time and that he wanted his $deposit backThe customer was sent an email stating he would not be able to receive the refund until the vehicle was soldThe dealership accrued many expenses bringing the specific vehicle to the dealership per the customer’s requestAs stated in the email, once the vehicle sells we will be able to return the $deposit

We acquired transportation expenses in order to find the specific vehicle the customer requestedThat is why a deposit was required to cover those expenses till the vehicle was soldThe customer was made aware that it was a refundable deposit at time of delivery

[redacted] Once again, Dave Edwards Toyota is wrong and is not admitting it.  I was never made aware that the $500 deposit had any conditions except 'completely refundable'.  They failed in their communication of this issue, the salesman admitted to me on the phone that he was not aware of this policy so how could he have told me?   They have not properly trained their staff and are penalizing me for that.  Further, I have monitored their web site daily and the vehicle in issue has never been listed so either they don't have it or are not advertising it.  Why would that be, only to delay the sale and deposit refund.  They are also wrong in their statement that I came to their lot for this transaction.  This was an internet transaction and I have never once visited their location.  Their solution does nothing to resolve the issue. Mr Rodney B[redacted], general sales manager, has decided to keep my $500.[redacted]

The issue with the approval is the loan has to fund within 30 days and due to the time we re submitted the loan to ensure proper time for [redacted] to fund us and ensure we didn't have an issue after delivery. We did contact [redacted] after the...

complaint and found him a similar vehicle and he decided he didn't want the vehicle due to additional equipment on vehicle that added $1600.00 to price.
