the complex when a vehicle is parked in regular parking spot without a parking pass I am to towthem to my storage lot in Harrisonburg, VA to free these spaces for residence of the complex. There aresigns at all entrance to the complex and is part of the lease agreement with his daughter. Once I towedhis vehicle, his wife called my number. I told her that it was not a posted release time for vehicles but Iwould meet them at the lot so they could pick up their vehicle that night and it would cost SL20 cash.According to our posted sign at the lot we charge an extra $5O for afterhours pick up but since I was inHarrisonburg and Mrs. [redacted] was very kind I did not charge them the extra $50.When Mr. [redacted] arrived at the storage lot I was releasing another vehicle so my gate was open. Mr.[redacted] was being very belligerent over the cost of getting his vehicle and that we only accept cash forimpounded vehicles. He got in his vehicle and tried to run through my gate. Since I was standing rightthere I got the gate shut before he could run through it. He then got out of his car and tried to push thegate against me making him fall over when I shut it. I again told him that he had to pay $120 cash to gethis car. At this point the Harrisonburg Police Department was there, they told Mr. [redacted] that I hadevery right to only accept cash payment for impounded vehicles. Mr. [redacted] wanted to name of theowner and l explained to him l was indeed the owner of the business, he did not believe me and onlyaccepted that answer once the Harrisonburg Police Department Officer confirmed it. He finally paid the$120, I gave him a receipt and he left with his vehicle.Mr. [redacted] was extremely rude and nasty toward me. I was doing a favor for him and his family butinstead of responding in a positive appreciative manner Mr. [redacted] was rude, belligerent and set a poorexample of how to properly handle a situation such as this to everyone around. This was not thebehavior I would except from a father of a college student. If you have any other questions or concernsplease feel free to contact me at ###-###-####.Thank You,Jody D.
