Joe gave a reasonable estimate promptly. He submitted and received the permit necessary far quicker than I thought he would considering it was Hernando County. My project was large and required a special touch to remove the existing cement and rebar without damaging my home and sea wall. He worked quickly with his team to remove the existing cement on a hot day. It took 8 guys all day to remove and break up the slab. They returned the next day on time to level and place forms for the new slab. He brought in pea gravel and had a crew quickly spread and compact it all while another crew secured the forms. Following day Hernando County Inspection was ordered and passed. Monday morning Joe and crew showed up and poured fresh made on sight cement. He owns 2 of his own cement trucks. It was impressive to see his crew work in unison as they poured and troweled. Joe himself stayed to the end troweling the surface texture into the cement. The fourth day Joe again showed with one his crew to chalk and cut the expansion joints . Finding a good contractor that exceeds your expectations is rare these days. J. Bates Concrete Construction exceeded my expectations very fortunate to have found him.
