I hired J.C. Professional Delivery to relocate our family from IL to [redacted] came to our home to give us an estimate. On move out day, they showed up & started packing. The truck was just about at max capacity & he told me to start choosing what I wanted to bring. Appalled at the comment, I told him he was the professional it is not my fault it doesn't fit, he needs to figure it out. He told me I should have known I had more things that would fit in a 26ft truck! I am the consumer- I have NO clue how many items can fit in what size truck, that is HIS job. After much aggravation, [redacted] needed another truck & asked me if I would split the cost with him of $800. At this point I just agreed, asked him for a handshake that there would be no additional charges. Not even 1hr later, he asked to speak with my husband, who was out of contact on a trip at the time. He wanted to know if we would split the gas of $400. I told him I would talk with my husband at some point & let him know. Our items arrived in [redacted] & circumstances out of our control happened with our rental home. [redacted] & his guys unloaded half of our things in the rental home & half in a storage unit. I was not present because they beat us there & insisted on getting back on the road immediately. At this point, [redacted] was paid everything including the additional gas of $200 & they left.When I arrived to [redacted] I hired the same company that was storing half of my things, to move us into our new home. I watched these guys unload everything from the house & storage. The first thing I found missing was the hardware for my babys crib. After back and forth with him promising to send it, & my baby having no bed, it finally came! The legs to my desk were missing & a leg to my office chair. He said he'd drop them at my moms for her to mail, never did it. Then said he would mail them, never came & stopped communicating with me. The tub marked FRAGILE was all broken, my Foreman grill & cappuccino maker too. The process was frustrating.
