Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/08/30) */
In regards to this customer, we have had more than one issue
I will quote the customer directly from their original Revdex.com complaint "Then they ate up a bunch of my skirting on my home when they were weed eating"The home had sections
of skirting with holesThe customer stated that we damaged sectionsThe other were damaged by her previous mowing companyWhen we service a mobile home we spray weed killer around the structure to prevent damage to the delicate sidingI had my doubts that we damaged the skirting in the first place, but in order to preserve this relationship I agreed to replace the damaged sectionsWhen I sent a crew to the home to make the repairs the customer tried to trick them into replacing all the sectionsThat was our first experience with "damage" at this home
In regards to the second matter:
"July 25th they came out to mow my grass and busted the window out of my back door after something shot out of the grass return and hit my doorI had people here for my birthday and didn't notice it until the next morning."
The day the customer tried to make contact with me was a SundayJ CoLawn Care, LLC is not open on SundayWe did have contact with the customer on MondayThe customer stated that they witnessed the damage being done to the door which contradicts their above statement
We have our doubts that our equipment damaged the windowThe back door of a mobile home on average is over ft off the groundOur mower shoot is about inches off the groundIf the yard was flat, damage is possible at a mower distance from the house of around ft to allow enough liftThis customers yard slopes at over degrees away from home and up hill to a height of over ftSo when the lawn is cut the shoot is facing straight down a hill or angled up to the sky facing away from the homeIf anything the neighbors home across the street is in the line of fire
However once again to preserve the relationship, we were willing to work with the customer and have our glass guy out to replace the windowThe customer refused those services stating that she did not have the time to wait for the glass guy to come to her homeShe also stated that the whole door needed to be replaced
At that point, with the customer having a balance owed to us for services provided, and no reasonable resolution, we told the customer to keep what they owed us to replace the window

This is in response to a complaint about two pieces of broken tempered glass. One a door in the rear of customers home, the other a window in the front of the customers home. We have cut this lawn many times over the course of the mowing...

season. Over the course of the season we never observed any broken windows. After the October 1St cut still no broken windows were seen. The customer called us six days later on October 7th to report broken windows. I went to home to investigate and found BB holes in a plate glass window, I have included that picture in this report. I also found a broken door and broken window with distinct break points in the tempered glass, pictures are also included. When a tempered glass window is hit by a rock from a commercial lawn mower it does not just fracture and stay in the frame. A rock from a commercial mower travels between 150 and 200 miles per hour according to industry studies. I have personally seen a mower throw a rock at a tempered window and shatter it from over 50 feet away. Tempered glass is designed to absorb an impact by breaking into small pieces. At the speed of a mower thrown rock the glass shatters and falls from the frame. At the speed of a standard BB or pellet gun the glass will fracture and stay in the frame. The pictures included in this report will illustrate my points. In regards to the insurance claim, I have spoken to the adjuster about this. To my knowledge the matter is closed, we are not responsible, the damage was not caused by us.
