I took my 2002 *** in for them to replace an actuator, To do that they had to pull my dash board. I drove the car a couple of times during a few months period as it was not my main car. My *** car needed repair So I loaned him my 2002 ***.As he was getting in the car I notice the dash was loose. He was returning to college less than 90 miles away and had to be back for class. He lived and worked on campus so didn't drive the car until the schools were closed due to the virus. I told J & D that the dash was loose and they said bring it down and they would repair it. *** had to finish his college yr. on the computer and has a full load . when I took it in they informed me there was extensive damage to the dash and someone must have hit it with their knee really hard or closed the door with something in it and it hit the dash. They never ask the mechanic that pulled the dash they said he retired and he wouldn't have done that. They refuse to repair the damage and continued to say someone hit it with their knee or something. which is ridiculous. They wanted me to pay for the damage they did and was rude about it. This car has never had any repairs to it that would require the dash being removed other than by them. It has less than a hundred thousand miles on it as we didn't drive it alot in the 14 yrs. or so that we owned it. They treated me as an old person that didn't know anything and that they could take advantage of. I should NOT have to pay them to repair the damage that they did. They refuse any responsibility for their actions.He knew who did the repairs and everything when I brought the car in without looking and already had his excuses ready and I had just drove in without calling and as it had been a while he just happen to remember who repaired it and that he retired and was no longer there and exactly how long it was since I was there. Good memory or knew they had damaged my car and was ready with the excuses.
I started J & D Towing and Auto Repair several years ago after more than 30 years of experience in the field. My goal/focus was, and continues to be, customer satisfaction by providing honest, dependable quality work that is reasonably priced. To date I've maintained a 5 Star Rating and have a loyal customer base without complaints. I am truly saddened that *** feels the company is responsible for the damage she has incurred over 8 months after her car was in our shop and after loaning it out to her college aged *** for multiple months. Every customer leaves our shop with a receipt which has the following guarantee on the bottom " 6 MONTH or 6000 Miles Warranty on ALL Repairs". Had *** returned the car during that time frame with a "loose" dash we would have gladly fixed that, however we cannot make it common practice to accept responsibility for "extensive" damage which couldn't have occurred by merely removing a dash for access (which is routine practice, my mechanics are all quite experienced doing this) over 8 months after having the vehicle in our shop. It is always the goal of the company to render quality service which ultimately produces satisfied, repeat customers.

[the repair was made Feb. 7th. within the time they guarantee their work. I told them early in March. I have my credit card receipt to prove they lied saying it was 8 months. they are wanting the 6 months to run out. They knew what they did]
