When I received the quote there was some confusion on what actually needed to be done and the wrong limbs were cutThis was all after months of me trying to get them out thereWhen I contacted them about this they said the contract was clear and I needed to pay and if I needed other work done it would cost more The rep even said to me "Just so we're on the same page, the delay was on your end, not oursWe tried three times to do your job, and called ahead each and every time" This is factually inaccurateWhen they finally told me my tenants camper was in the way I told them I needed to know when they were actually goi
I was first contacted @ February 21st, by Brad ***, a representative of Birchcrest Tree CompanyI was asked by Mr***, If I would give give permission for their company to access my neighbor, who lives behind me, to bring in equipment to take down a tree in their backyardI try to be a good neighbor, so I said that that would be no problemI was assured that any damage would be taken care of I heard nothing **re of this until I received a call from my son on March 29thHe informed me that there was a crane being driven into my back yard, and didn't know what was going onI told him I had received a call about a **nth earlier and was expecting 'equipment' to come through our yard I then checked my messages and found a voice message stating they were coming the 29th-I never gave them verbal permission-I would have like to have been there when they did thisBeing 'Easter Weekend', I took my son to Philadelphia to check out a Basketball game, and upon my return saw the devast
I received an estimate for some tree trimming in the winter of Robert and I discussed when I would like the work done I told him I was thinking of having it done in spring or summer and would call for a date He said it was fine and to call the company when I was ready However I received messages stating the work would be done the following days Both times I called and spoke with Charlene to inform her I wasn't ready to have the work done She said she would put a note on my file to not complete the work until I scheduled it On April or a message was left again that the work was going to be complete the following day However I did not receive the message until after the work was done I immediately called the office and spoke with Charlene again She checked my file and said the note must have fallen off She said she was going to speak with someone and call me back I never received a callback from her but received a bill a few days later I did not auth

They always pay attention to himTheir work on our lawn, trees and bushes has been excellentAny advice questions have been answered quickly
Called to have tree removedRep said tree should be trimmed and not removedTrim was done but large branch left on with a big portion of bark off itEmailed company questioning this and asked for response and didn't get oneLess than years later this branch fell off without warning and on a weekendPower company dispatched Birchcrest to remove branch from garage roof, power and cable lines and carAfter they cut it down the told us the debris would be picked up on MondayI called when the debris wasn't picked up and they said we were on the listOn Wed, I called again about debris and for a quote for the rest of the tree to be removedThe Rep came out and looked at the tree and mailed us a quoteDebris was picked up on ThursdayRep also said this was all on us as we went with the trimming in the first placeHe knew it was he that convinced us to do the trim onlyAt this point we did call a competitor, compared prices which were nearly the same and went with their competitorCustomer service apparently does not apply to the small guy with this company
I have had an absolutely horrendous experience with this companyI hired them in the spring to add some trees to the property line of my house as a way to improve the look of the areaThe "arborist" who came out made some recommendations on plant two different types of trees in the area, two small fruit trees and conifersWe were very concerned about the shading in the area, but the arborist assured us that these plants would work well in this areaThe plants were placed poorly the first time and we actually had to ask them to move them because they planted the fruit trees directly in shade under two large mature treesThey moved the plantsShortly there-after we noticed all of the conifers were getting brownWe called them about it and received no response initiallyWe tried to water the plants fairly regularly during his timeWhen the arborist finally got back to me only after we sent a poor review back to the company, he said we needed to water the plants even more and so
Birchcrest is extremely professionalThey have done a lot of work in the houses we own They have removed entire trees, trimmed others and planted new trees We have always been pleased with their performance Their estimator, Micah, is very easy to work with We tried other services before using Birchcrest Birchcrest is definitely the BEST
