Vehicle came in, and we inspected and diagnosed at no charge to the customer.  It had multiple leaks; we brought the customer in to the shop to show him the oil and coolant leaks while the vehicle was on the lift prior to us starting the job.  We explained that there were several leaks and...

discussed which ones were essential to fix at this time, as we were also trying to work within the customer's budget.  He authorized the following work:  We replaced the rear cooling housing because that's where his main leak was from.  We also replaced the coolant outlet at the rear of the motor and the valve cover gasket.  Once we repaired, we test drove the vehicle and found no leak from the work we performed. Customer called in a few days later stating that he arrived home and found coolant in garage. We sent out a tow truck to pick up vehicle within 10 mins. from his phone call.  Once the vehicle got back to our shop, we inspected the vehicle and found the thermostat housing was cracked at seam. That part was on the front side of vehicle where we didn't perform work.  The customer stated that he had previously had this done at another garage. We offered and completed work at cost for the part only $100.00 and did not charge any labor or for the tow. The reason we charged for the part is because it wasn't a part or job we installed.  The vehicle had prior coolant leaks which would release pressure from that system.  Once we repaired the system it would rise to proper psi which in turn was next point of failure which was the thermostat.  A few weeks later the customer called our shop to thanks us and tell us he was very happy with our service.  We didn't hear anything else from the customer until we received the email complaint from Revdex.com.  We immediately called the customer to find out what happened. We took the vehicle back in our shop the same day as the complaint was given on 7/5/17 and found a seepage of coolant coming from turbo line, which is on the left side of the engine- completely opposite of any prior repair. We removed & replaced turbo coolant line O ring at no charge. The vehicle is a [redacted] miles-vehicles within this mileage typically have many parts that can fail or need to be replaced.  We do our very best here to work within the customer's budget to provide a satisfied customer.  So this is now the third time total that we have repaired the vehicle,  second time at no charge, to satisfy the customer.
