I was contacted by [redacted] on 6/to spray walls above a stairway that went to the basement from the garage of her clients houseI advised of pricing and to get discounts she advised that I only needed, "hplv sprayer, tape and plastic" and that they had ladders and a plank that would already be set up for me to useI advised it may take 2-days if this was the case for prep and clean upAs I arrived on 6/I had purchased rolls of frog tape and two rolls of platinum blue tape along with rolls of plastic and utilized them and drop clothes to tape off ceiling, wooden entry door with glass,wood at bottom of staircase, wooden stairs and entry at bottom of stairs into basementThe second day 6/I resumed taping, plastic and had to patch areas with joint compound on both wallsI then rolled out both walls with multi-purpose primer and still have the roller with my toolsI came the next day on 6/to set up a multi purpose ladder and an extension ladder with a pick in between them over the staircase by myselfI then patched more with joint compound as there were several more imperfections at the higher elevationAs [redacted] checked on progress she advised set up was not safe and that sorry for it not being set up yet properly and for me having to set up/patch and that I would be compensatedEverything was supposed to be then really ready 6/at 7am to sprayI showed up next day 6/to find out not readyI then received message she had to leave town and [redacted] would set up and have readyHe called me at 7:am on 6/to sprayI showed up then and area was degrees over degree stable condition for toxic paint that can't be touched, is combustible and harms reproductive healthIt caused brand new sprayer not to work and me to call paint support team per [redacted] before continuingAs I received call at pm 6/they advised they( [redacted] and client ) had another painter and that they wanted deposit backI initially asked for $deposit and changed due to them not wanting to give that muchI also accommodated in every way and showed up on weekend and times more than I should which took extra time away from other jobs and family on the weekendI also worked in dangerous environment and did extra work outside the scope of the contractI was threatened by client and [redacted] at end and have a harassment report filed with [redacted] policeI would like to be compensated with additional monies associated with my time labor and travel besides the $depositI have additional pictures of the entire project, screen shot correspondence per requestThank You

My company is a small businessThat being said my main objective is to make money and make people happy by doing wonderful workThat shows by my reviews, work I still receive by referrals and several return clientsAll I want is to complete jobs so that I can progressively build my business and
capitalSometimes I have to process judgements as I won one which I am still owed($1,620)and have two pending that prevents progressThis definitely directly affects daily operating procedures as my company is a small business. I also want to do more custom painting and design to offer more people jobs from each genderPrior to hiring certain employees that threatened my life my pregnant girlfriend, and all of our familiesI even had one arrested AGAIN after trying to crash into my truck and verbally threaten to kill me during this clients job when I was leaving a job at am during one of my hour day work weeksI still receive phone calls from Restricted numbers at all hours of the day that disrupts sleep and is annoying.Had my apt robbed, tires slashed and car keyedAlso have filed police reports with three different departments that resulted in two arrests. I have found out that I have to change my contracts or enforce the change in the job scope more strictlyThis client said that the rental was to be one color throughout and the bathroom a different colorI had priced the initial estimate a week prior with two colorsThen before signing the contract we had different colors added for the kitchen, he included the cabinets in the kitchen, wanted colors in the bathroom, and wanted to pay $less than the initial estimateThis happens a lot where clients add work to the jobs and hold the final payment until they are done even if it is not in the contractSince he put me in a position at time of signing I tried to accommodate and agreed since I drove from Glennville NY and made other obligations in the area to satisfy payrollI did not find this ethical and it made me upset after I even told the paint representative that I had a pending job that required only a couple colors. All the information relayed to me by my employees was relayed as it always is to clientsI try to empower them to work freely and make decisions that benefit them or clients if I am not at the job siteI had my Dad show up to give feedback and an employee to patch hundreds of holes that were left by a tenant that lived there for yearsI came back to sand then patch second coat the ceilings and walls of the kitchen, baths, living room, dining room, hallways and upstairs bedrooms and hallwayI also cleaned the hardwood floors by vacuuming and using liquid swiffersThe client stated that he was "underwhelmed" by our workmanship and said he would like a refund since progress was not to his pace All my jobs were put on hold due to personal matters that I communicated to the client multiple timesI even offered to provide a solution and put all my employees and myself at the job to finish within two daysHe said he lost rent and would do himself even though as I dropped the refund check off he still had to demo the bathroom that was partially demoed and tile/paint and redo the stair case(Both jobs I bid at market rate or below and he said was too pricey) I try to keep personal matters separate and I informed him that I had multiple ER visits with my girlfriend has Lupus, Hypothyroid, Lyme disease AND had a blood clot in her lung during the job where she has to inject herself each day nowShe had gotten sick several times and I had to be at hospital well after midnight more than onceHaving had a stillborn/multiple miscarriages this was disheartening and we were trying to preserve pregnancy at all costsMy tires were punctured even after the spare tire and my car was keyed also that prevented travelHad to file police reports at am for harassment and had my phone stolen (lost all contacts) as I was working where I had to file moreThese definitely fall into the "unforeseen circumstances" part of my contract and I did not have to process any refunds as he was bound by the contract.I relayed all this information to my client and he was insensitive to all of itHe sent me an email message that I was a "bullstter" and that I was making up storiesHe also stated he would use all necessary channels to bad mouth my business and notify everyone that I rip everyone offI called him after unprofessional email to apologize for how he felt but that I really wanted the job done and the moneyHe said he was angry and wouldn't do any reviews or bashing as long as I refunded himI gave him a partial refund as I had already paid out over $dollars on the jobMy bank recently refunded me erroneous charges that prevented the initial check I gave him from being processedAfter I finished a job his wife told me to have other clients make it out to my name and pay her MondayThey had already made it out to my business and I said I would drop off the payment Tuesday as it cleared I dropped off the payment TuesdayI also said I would give a full refund due to him not being satisfied and pay him the remainder as I received it. My other clients who had autistic kids and another who actually had apartment ready to rent did not have issues with the delaysI gave them a discount even though they did not ask for one and added free work. I get paid by clientsThis is my only form of incomeAll I want is them to be happy so we both realize value at the end of the jobI want my business to succeed and those who work for me to as wellI recently hired ex military and college students who had no jobThey perform all work with a vested interest and we all benefitI wish to continue this for the life of my business

I advised it may take 2-3 days if this was the case for prep and clean up. As I arrived on 6/10 I had purchased 5 rolls of frog tape and two rolls of platinum blue tape along with 12 rolls of plastic and utilized them and drop clothes to tape off ceiling, wooden entry door with glass,wood at bottom of staircase, wooden stairs and entry at bottom of stairs into basement. The second day 6/11 I resumed taping, plastic and had to patch areas with joint compound on both walls. I then rolled out both walls with multi-purpose primer and still have the roller with my tools. I came the next day on 6/12 to set up a multi purpose ladder and an extension ladder with a pick in between them over the staircase by myself. I then patched more with joint compound as there were several more imperfections at the higher elevation. As [redacted] checked on progress she advised set up was not safe and that sorry for it not being set up yet properly and for me having to set up/patch and that I would be compensated. Everything was supposed to be then really ready 6/13 at 7am to spray. I showed up next day 6/13 to find out not ready. I then received message she had to leave town and [redacted] would set up and have ready. He called me at 7:16 am on 6/16 to spray. I showed up then and area was 30 degrees over 70 degree stable condition for toxic paint that can't be touched, is combustible and harms reproductive health. It caused brand new sprayer not to work and me to call paint support team per [redacted] before continuing. As I received call at 2 pm 6/17 they advised they([redacted] and client ) had  another painter and that they wanted deposit backI initially asked for $600 deposit and changed due to them not wanting to give that much. I also accommodated in every way and showed up on weekend and 5 times more than I should which took extra time away from other jobs and family on the weekend. I also worked in dangerous environment and did extra work outside the scope of the contract. I was threatened by client and [redacted] at end and have a harassment report filed with [redacted] police. I would like to be compensated with additional monies associated with my time labor and travel besides the $400 deposit.
