Purchased a condo from this builder March 2013, water heater began leaking in June of 2013, company would not respond to phone call messages for months, company finally sent a plumber to repair water heater in Sept of 2014.Water heater was still covered by builders (1st yr warranty) repair bill was [redacted] J & F Construction will not pay the repair bill. Company again will not respond to any of my messages. Company also will not finish staining my front porch and back deck, numerous phone calls regarding this issue also.Desired Settlement Pay bill and refund me [redacted] I paid on this outstanding account.Business Response The buyer moved in on [redacted] of 2013. The plumber went to her unit to fix a leak on[redacted] of 2014. Which was after her 1 year warrantee had expired (requiring her to pay for the service call). When she received the bill from the plumber she said it leaked before and that she has been calling for a year with nobody ever coming to her unit to fix.All my sub contractors give a one year warrantee on all their work so whenever I get a call from a customer I simply call the sub that did the work and they go fix it for free.If I she called me before the year warrantee was up of course I would call my plumber because I wouldn't be charged for the repair. When customer calls after the year is up I give them a number for my plumber but also inform them they can call whoever they want because they are now paying. She may have heard from other customers of mine that I have repaired things for free for them after the one year is up but I do that on a case by case basis and at my own discretion. Also, my office is a half mile from her unit and I am there every day. If she really was calling and calling for over a year without a return call she could've walked over or drove over to see me and tell me about her leak.That's why I believe this is a false claim. I believe she got a leak 18 months after moving in and after she received the [redacted] bill from the plumber because it was out of warrantee she then claimed it was always leaking yet she never once came to see about it.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I'm happy the builder [redacted] Contruction responded to my complaint (2)month's after complaint filed. I did call company in [redacted] month before water heater warranty expired, that's when leak begin, left numerous ph messages, I threaten to go to the State Attorney General then I got ph call the office saying a plumber would be coming tomorrow for heater repair which was [redacted] I was surprised when received bill for [redacted] yes I started calling their office again with no respond, the company Service Solutions forwarded bill to [redacted] with no response to them. The builder says I could of come to his office, why should I have to. The builder still has not finished staining my front porch & back deck, again numerous ph messages with no response again over (1) year.My claim is not a false complaint.
