she mentioned in her complaint minor maintenance and cleaning was being performed when she first viewed the propertyAfter signing the lease the tenant contacted us regarding further maintenance and cleaning issues, she did so in writing and by contacting us by phoneThe next day we made arrangements with her to access the property and resolve the outstanding issuesEvery item on her list was addressed including installation of new smoke detectors, replacing the outside security lights, further cleaning of the upstairs bedrooms, upstairs hallway and ceiling fansNo hole in the floor was noted and as the carpets had been professionally cleaned prior to her move in nothing further was done regarding that issueAt some point during the time we were doing further cleaning one of our employees mistook the tenants paper towels for or ownWe apologize for this and have offered, and will follow thru with replacing these paper towelsAfter our visit to the property the tenant was contacted to ensure her satisfactionThe tenant was not satisfied with the security lights nor the small section of carpeting in the basementThe security light issue was a switch that the tenant was unaware of and was easily fixedEven though the carpets were professionally cleaned the tenant continued to complain about the basement carpetAfter consultation with the owner we contacted the tenant to try and resolve what she had previously stated was her last current complaint with the property, the basement carpetEven though the carpet was professionally cleaned and with inspection no odor or debris was noted on this carpet, we offered to remove it so there would be no further issues blocking her enjoyment of the houseDuring our conversation regarding the issue she hung up the phone and despite our attempts to contact her she has not respondedThe tenant's initial rent check was also returned for insufficient fundsWe would like to work with the tenant to resolve any outstanding issues she has with the propertyWe strive to respond to maintenance issue quickly and thoroughly and feel that this case is no exceptionIf the tenant no longer wishes to rent the unit reasonable terms of surrendering the property can be arranged
