Jan 10th 2019 I took my car in to get fixed and painted. I paid him $800!for those services. The job never was done. Then my car got vandalized April 10 on his property he doesn’t have insurance for his lot only on his building so I had to contact my insurance company for the repairs. Then I gave him $300 more from the insurance claim. So now that I have my car after 7months later the repairs are still incomplete. I’ve missed work trying to deal with. All he did was give me the run around. He was pressing me for more money knowing he wasn’t going to complete the job.

Yes on 1/10/19 the customer did bring her car in to be repaired from a accident and we repaired the door that was damaged and painted the whole car with special sparkles after painting the car the customer was out of town and the car sat here for weeks after the job was done.. on 4/15/19 I got a call from my worker while I was in Alabama attending a funeral I was told that the customer had been vandalize they noticed the car when they came in for work so I got on line and did a police report and when I came back into town I notified the customer a I also review the cameras and saw two females damaging her car I also showed the customer the video so the customer call her insurance company to inform them about what happened to her car so they sent out a adjuster and he looked and the car and WROTE HER A CHECK IN THE AMOUNT OF $2800 and the customer stated to me that she wasn’t going to pay for her car to be fixed so I wasn’t going to spend my money to repair her car after I witness the adjuster writing the check for repairs... people don’t understand it’s always two sides to every story!! I don’t owe her anything thing and if anything she owes me an apology for going around scandalizing my name!!

I dropped my car off December 22 2018 to get a new engine put in. My car started just had a loud knocking noise in the engine. I paid 1500 that Saturday & was told my car would be done that Monday. Monday comes around Julius is ignoring my calls & text messages & wen he finally did respond the only update I could get for 2 weeks straight was that they were working on it still. I got that same response for 3 weeks. Finally on the 3rd week he tells me the engine they got didn't work so they had to order a new one. Just last week Jan. 30. I was told the car would be ready it just had to go to the dealership & be programmed. He told me he made the appointment for Feb 6th. Feb 6th comes around I text him to see if he dropped my car off yet. He tells me I have to come pay my balance then he'll drop it off. We discussed a payment arrangement & so the next day I went to go pay the 200 out of the 524 I owe him. It's Friday Feb 8th & I have not heard from him. I've been calling& texting Julius along with his Co owner & neither of them are not calling or texting back. I've been in contact with his Co owner & she always says she will handle the situation yet it's going on damn near 2 months & I still have no car. I went from 2 weeks to 2 months for a engine drop.

First of all I been knowing this young lady for a few years so back in December of 2018 the car towed in for a bad engine, so I gave her a estimate of what it would cost to replace her engine and I asked her if she would pay for her replacement engine up front and pay the labor and fluids after the job was completed and she did in the amount of $1500. After replacing her original engine with another that engine was making a noise so I informed her of the situation that I would have to replace that one and she was ok with that so I took the engine back out and returned it back I was informed that they didn’t have another engine so they refunded me so I had to find another engine in the price range so it took me a few days and when I got the other engine we installed that I contact her to let her know her car was ready the customers stated to me that she didn’t have the money and asked if I could do a payment plan for her at $100 a week and I that’s when the problem started!! 2/7/19 she brought $200 by towards her balance and a remaining balance of $324! Today 2/8/19 she called me and I was busy at the time and I didn’t answer so she texted me with text messages stating that she was going to call the police stating that I stole her car and robbed her also text that she was going to contact the Revdex.com,attorney general I informed her that I was calling the police to make a report on the threats.. at this point she can pay her balance and leave me alone! I did everything correct and her problem is that she doesn’t have no money!! An I don’t owe her anything she owes me!!!

My name is *** I filed a complaint and did let it close due to J& J Services saying they wouldn't drop my car off at subaru to get it programmed until I paid my remaining balance. He stated that in his response so on my part I wanted to make sure he couldn't use that against me. I've now paid J&j services fully & I still do not have my car. He took my car to subaru over a week ago now & they refuse to touch my car. They said they don't know what it is he did to my car but it doesn't look safe to work on and said it is THEE worst job they ever seen. There is also a big gash in the back of my bumper that was not there before. I went up to subaru to see my car myself and the engine is leaning on, there is wiring showing everywhere, he replaced my batter with a to big of a batter that doesn't fit properly, and he put a honda starter on my car. I just replaced my starter not even 2 years ago & the starter was for a subaru legacy yet I have a honda starter in my Subaru. Julius has took my money, abandoned my car at Subaru dealership, & now want answer nor respond to calls or text messages.

I am rejecting this response because: He still is taking his time to fix my car. He said he's had the sensor since Friday. I've reached out to him and he is saying a week but it's not a guarantee. I want my car back and I want a refund he took money for an engine replacement that he couldn't do. It's going on 3 months.

Took truck in to replace steering column..sat for three days before repaired got a few calls about parts prizes conttinued to change...Once the job was done the owner tries to start my car...that was running before...now it dosent...then he tells me the anti-theft system popped on and I....yes I have to pay for a locksmith to program my car this was Friday, Nov.2nd......He said that the guy would be there Saturday , Nov. 3rd... Nobody showed up. Sunday morning (today) Nov.4th I go to store...stopped and looked in my car the key was in the ignition doors unlocked and he has the keys to lock the doors. He has been paid and I still dont have a car.

J & J Services Response • Nov 05, 2018

Yes the truck was pushed here by a guy that was suppose to be working on it,the steering column was destroyed alone with shifter cable, the customer asked me if I would replace the steering column and shifter cable we replaced both parts that she ask me to do after fishing the repairs noticed the security lights were flashing told the customer that the truck had to be reprogrammed.. the customers stated to me that she didn’t feel that the truck should be programmed but it do.. ( after the steering column was destroyed that’s what caused the security to activate) so I called a locksmith to come out but the customer stated she didn’t have the money to pay for the program.. the customer still has a balance of $133 The Steering column $150 shifter cable was $88 and the labor was $150 a total of $388.. the customer paid $175 up front for the parts and $80 when we finish installing the parts. I don’t see where we did anything wrong because her part were installed correctly and she just needs to have her truck programmed.. at this point she needs to pay her balance and have her truck towed home until she can get the money to have it programmed.

I had my vehicle towed to the auto repair shop, J&J Services on February 6th 2018. My Ford Escape SUV needed some bodywork to be done as well as radiator to be replaced. The SUV was involved in a hit and run incident 3 days prior and I needed the following parts to be replaced: bumper, bumper cover, passenger side headlight assembly and radiator. The owner Julius M gave me an estimate of the total amount to be paid, $1,200 for parts and repair. I paid him $400 in both cash and card.
The vehicle was ready to be picked up on February 14th 2018. Since I was out of town, I asked by girlfriend to pick up the vehicle on my behalf. However Julius asked for an additional $80 dollars before the SUV left the shop. Upon driving the SUV my girlfriend realized that the hood was not secured by the latch and the hood was rising up and down as she was driving at speeds of between 30 and 35 mph. An officer with the Columbus Police saw what happened and then cited my girlfriend for driving an unsafe vehicle and the SUV was impounded.
I returned back to Columbus to retrieve the SUV from the impound lot,; I paid $125 to recover the vehicle. The vehicle was drivable, I had to secure the hood with bungee cords. I then realized that the shop did an overspray over the engine. The fog lamps were not replaced and the radiator was not even replaced as requested. I took the vehicle to another repair shop for wheel alignment and that's when the mechanics commented on the job done by Julius' mechanics/technicians was shady. My girlfriend and I tried to talking to Julius over the phone buy he was not cooperative in resolving the manner in the way the repairs were done. He responded in a rude and unprofessional way. That's when I sent a demand letter to the shop by certified mail-I demanded Julius to set up a time to have the vehicle repaired correctly or to refund some of the money we paid for the repairs. However the mail was returned to me, meaning that Julius did not even bother to open and read the letter.
The vehicle itself started having serious mechanical issues- the transmission was not working well. We had to add about a gallon of transmission fluid to keep the SUV going. Eventually the engine/motor went bad, as it would produce an unusual sound. Therefore the SUV I took to J&J Services to be repaired ended up not drivable.

On 2/6/18 The Ford Escape was brought in for body damage repairs and yes we look at the damages and gave an estimate for what it would cost $1256.35,the customer agreed with the amount and wanted the repairs done and agreed to put a deposit of $400.. on 2/14/18 the costumer was contacted and was told that the truck was ready the customer came in and picked the truck up with no complaints... and this is the first I’ve heard anything after eight months... on all of my invoices in bold red letters stating there is a 30 day warranty on all parts and labor... after eight months of not hearing from this customer also we repaired the truck and there wasn’t any complaints I feel as we don’t owe any refund!! If you have any more questions feel free to contact me.. Thanks,Julius M

In early May 2018, I paid Julius for a set of new tires $435, he made me a few appointment to come have them put on but when ever I showed up he was gone due to a family issue. Then my transmission was having issues and I was told I would need a new one. I paid $1,500 and dropped my car off and was told my car would have the transmission fixed and the tires put on in 3 days. I showed up Friday to find that my car had not been completed and was told a few more hours. Around 4 I went back to the shop and was told that it wont be done until tomorrow afternoon(Saturday). I told Julius that I had to be in Cincinnati by 9am and wont be back until after hours. We agreed that I would come get my car on Monday. I was told July 2nd that they just needed to have the communication box reprogramed and he would bring the car to me on the 5th. On july 7th my sister went and was told the same thing about the communication box and I will have my car Monday. Today is July 12th May car is still sitting on the side of this man's shop and the tires have not been changed.

Yes the customer brought her van in for tires and the tires are still here at the shop and we are going to put the tires on and yes we replaced the transmission and the van has serval issues I spoke with the customer on Saturday 7/7/18 a told her what we’re going on with her van. I told her that I had a friend that was a transmission specialist that I was taking the van to him and we did and was told that the van has a bad pcm which is the computer also was told by the specialist that’s this problem has been a long time problem and I told the customer that I would pay for the diagnostic which I did. It’s not like we haven’t did anything to complete this job.. we has installed the transmission and the tires will be put on ASAP but until the computer(pcm) is replaced the van is not going to run. I willing to work with her with the computer problem.. my job is done the transmission has been replaced and the tires will be put on!! I was waiting until the van was up and running before we put the tires on but I will have the tires put on!!

Customer Response • Jul 13, 2018

I was told on the 2nd that my car was being taken to another shop to be programmed and I would have it by Thursday. If another issue was found I should have been notified. I have been paying for a rental car since May 16th. You spoke with my sister on the 7th and told her my car needed to be programmed and that would be done on Monday. There is no excuse for the length of time this has taken, the number of phone calls not returned and ignored was very unprofessional. A job that I was told would take 3 days is now on day 58. No matter what you might claim is the new issue with my car on day 58 if the job would have been completed in a timely manner the problem still would have been discovered be it day 4, 19, 30 or 45. I spoke with Julius several times about my calls not being answered and the cost of a rental car and how I was unhappy do to the fact that I was $400, 850, 1,100, 1,500 in to paying for a rental and somethings has to give. Every time I was told about an issue or problem as to why my car wasn't worked on and promised that it was going to be the first thing work on in the morning and the tires would be put on. What Julius paid for to my understanding was programming at the dealership at about a month in and I was told that the transmission that was brought to replace mine was bad and the needed to reorder one. If my computer was bad and it has been an ongoing issue then why was it not picked up on a month ago or when the diagnostics was ran? It never should have taken this long.

the customer know that the transmission bas been replaced because the new transmission needed a sensor and she gave the money to get the sensor from the dealer also when we last spoke she knew that the van was going to transmission specialist to do a diagnostic to see what was going on with the shifting issues.. the van will need a new pcm (computerd) and it will need to be programmed!

Customer Response • Jul 18, 2018

] My van was having shifting issues when I brought it to you. The solenoid was changed that didn't fix it, then you changed the sensor that didn't fix it, now you say the second transmission you put in still didn't fix the issue. My car wasn't shifting when it was in motion or upgrade its gears to go over 35 mph as if I was driving a stick shift and it was stuck in 3rd. This is what it was going when I brought it to you in May and that's the same thing it is doing now. I never needed a transmission like you said. It has been the computer this whole time. I paid you $1,500 to do a job on my van that was not needed because it didn't fix the issue. Pass the point of paying for the unnecessary repair I have now been paying for a rental car for 62 days. What part of the repair of my car has taken you 62 days? Why is it that the first time I'm told my computer needed to be replaced was AFTER this complaint was filed? On 3 different occasions I was told the computer needed to be programmed. I'm not saying the computer isn't the problem, I just don't understand why it took over 50 days to figure that out. I'm saying that the transmission was NEVER THE ISSUE. I am not asking you to fix the computer at this point. When I filed this complaint I asked that my car be returned to me in the same condition it was dropped off in and a full refund. You diagnosed my car with needing a $1,500 transmission job and you are now saying that it needs a $700 computer job as well. Putting in a transmission did not fix or improve the issue that I was having when I left my van at your shop 2 months ago. I don't owe you for an unnecessary repair to my van that didn't fix or improve it performance. You even said the still looked good when the sensor was changed. At this point I really want my car to be left alone and I want to pick it up.

I allowed my car to get serviced at the car shop because Julius told me he was 100% sure of what the issue was. He charged me $326 when he was finished. I payed the money. Shortly after I left, my car was still giving me the same problems. I contacted Julius and he said he would return to his shop to check my car. He took so long I just drove my car. An eight minute drive took about an hour. Julius said I could bring my car back the next day. I told him I didn't think the car would make it back. He said he would have it towed. After that I continued to contact Julius for the next couple of days and he never responded back to me. When Monday came I went to his shop to ask about getting a refund. The workers told me he wasn't there, and they didn't know when he was coming back. I text him to tell him how unprofessional he has been for ignoring and dodging me, and if I didn't hear from him I will take him to court. That's when he finally text back. He is refusing to give me a refund, even the $150 for labor. He has not text me back.

The customer dropped her Car off for overheating the car has been ran extremely hot until it shut down the customer call me to inform me that she had left her car at the shop for me to diagnose and looking into her problem we noticed that she had serval issues from blown intake gasket to blown coolant line where as we took pictures and sent to her also the coolant fans wasn’t working properly so the customer gave us permission to repair those issues after replacing those the car ran good and contacted the customer to pick up her car and when the customer came we gave her the parts that were replaced and the customer took her car.. the customer called later that evening and stated the car had started back overheating but I had left for the day and the customer continue to drive the car home and I got in touch with her by text message that I would take a look at it but the guy that does my towing was out of town but when he came back in town I contact her to come get the car she told me no and wanted her money back and I told her that I had put new parts on replacing the line that blew along with the new coolant fan sensor and the she asked if I would give her the labor back.. I did what I had to do to stop the car from overheating plus after reaching out to her to get the car back in to see if there was other issues and she refused.. these car now are so different than they were years ago when you could drive a distance while overheating but now you can’t. I don’t feel as I owe the customer anything because I showed her what was bad at the time and we replaced those parts at a good price because she’s been a 5 are more years customer and that why I was reaching out to help her..

I am rejecting this response because: The response was not the full truth. When I drove off the lot, my car was in the same condition it was in when I dropped it off to be fixed. I text back as soon as I noticed the car was over heating again and that was about fifteen minutes after I left off his lot. After I got my car home he told me he would get it towed. Two days later my car was never picked up, and I had to walk to the shop to see what was going on. I gave him my car key at the time. When I got home the car was still there. The next day I asked if he forgot about my car he said no, it will get picked up today. My car never got picked up. The next day I asked for my money back and at this point it's been five days since I was told it would get towed back to the shop. That message was ignored. So when Monday came I sent a text saying I need all my stuff back, and that text was ignored, so I went to the shop to talk about it, but the workers said he wasn't there. I was ignored and felt like he didn't want to work it out with me. I left off the lot $326 short with the same car issues. I payed and got nothing resolved.

We repaired what we found that was bad at 100% we even sent her pictures and text messages of the problem it’s not like she didn’t approve the work to be done on the truck.. overheating a vehicle with these aluminum engine is not a good thing to do,you can cause more problems than you expect internally!! Like in my first reply We repaired what was approved for us to do and that was what we could physically see and we took pictures and sent it to the customer.. at this point we did what we could do to repair what we saw that was wrong such as blown heater hoses and a none working coolant fan plus we gave the customer the bad parts! I don’t feel as we did anything wrong we addressed the problem that was found when the car was brought in. I don’t feel like we owe the customer any refund because we replace what was bad with the customer approval...

I am rejecting this response because: I payed $326 for my car to the have the exact same issues. If there was more wrong with my car, that should have been told to me before I allowed my car to be worked on. I didn’t get any parts. I was asked if I wanted one of them and I said no. I even tried to get the $150 back for labor, and not worry about the new parts that were put on. I payed that much money for me to still not be able to drive it. It should have been diagnosed properly.

Took my vehicle to get fixed 2 months ago they had not started on my vehicle so I said I wanted to pick it up now they're not answering my calls I just want my vehicle returned with my engine.

Ms. was dealing with one of my mechanics with her truck and yes it was at my shop but we had othe obligations to othe customers that were there prior to her with engine replacement and these job are not a one day jobs plus I tried to explain to Ms. but she didn’t want to here what I was saying so on 3/3/18 at 11:58 Ms. decided to come kick the front door in which is on video showing what all she did, took keys to customer cars so I had to replace all the keys that were taken. The police was called out and looked at the video and ran her tag and put her ID that were on file with the person in the video and concluded to be the same person so the detective were called out and made a copy of the video and I was advised to have her truck moved I tried calling Ms. couldn’t talk to her without a nasty mouth so the car was impounded by Broard and Jame. An Ms. knows all of this..

On November 14,2017 I took my Pontiac G6 to J and J Services to get my wipers fixed. I was giving a price of 98 dollars for a brand new wiper transmission from *** and 50 dollars for labor. I was there when he placed the call to *** (which I believe wasn't them). I agreed to the price, he said "it would take about a hour in a half." So I return and he's close to finish, so I wait. Once he was done he comes out an print me out an Invoice but no receipt from ***. I ask him for the receipt for the brand new part that I paid for. He told me he paid with his credit card. I also stated that it was very unprofessional he stated that I have a lifelong warranty. His Invoice states "30 Day warranty On All Labor And Some Parts Most New Parts". As of today my windshield wipers aren't working. I went to *** and this piece has a lifetime warranty.

J & J Services Response • Jan 12, 2018

When owning a business it’s not a practice to give a customer a copy of a receipt of a business cost because at any part store business has a commercial account and we are given a customer cost and a business cost. In business there is a mark up in the price in any business in order to make money. That’s like me going into Walmart to buy a part and I ask them to see what they paid for it! That’s a no! To this day I haven’t heard anything from this customer concerning any issues with this, also is was stated it’s under warranty so if something is wrong I don’t have any problem checking the car out...

AVOID this shop at all cost! Google and research J &J services. They have so many complaints on yelp as well as google reviews! They will steal parts off your car as well as your money. After my engine blew, my car was taken to this shop on September 26th by one of Julius M (the shop owner) guys that "contracts" work to Julius shop. After a week of not hearing anything about my car, I personally drove to the shop to see what was going on. On october 6th I spoke with the owner Julius personally about my vehicle. He promised he would have it done by the 10th. Julius then lied and said that he put the engine in and it was no good so he had to send the old engine back to get a new one. I know this was a lie because the place where the engine came from told me that the shop never swapped out an engine. Once the "swapped" engine was put in, I was told that my car was running and ready on the 17th. When I arrived at the shop, my car was not running! Not only was my car not running, the whole back end of my vehicle was scratched and dented up.When I discovered the damage, the owner Julius laughed and blamed it on his "contracted" guy. I was then told that my car was never towed to the shop. The guy that "brings work" to Julius shop tried to drive my car with a blown engine to the shop after I payed for him to tow it. This caused my car to catch on fire. The guy then proceeded to push my car with another car the rest of the way to the shop causing the additional body damage. Julius was aware of this from the beginning but NEVER notified me that my car caught on fire! Even though my car was not running, Julius told me that he wanted his $600 and held my car hostage until I payed him. Another guy who does work out of the shop told me that he would redo the job for $200. The car was promised to be ready Oct 22nd. AGAIN, another lie! They even tried to lie and tell me I needed a new transmission. After over a month of MISERY with this shop, I get my car back with more problems! On top of that my car was missing the battery, an intake valve, missing transmission bolts, wires melted on the 02 sensor and they cut off my exhaust pipe. Stay away from this shop everyone there is shady and plays the blame game. I've personally spoken with two other individuals who has had parts taken off their car along with very similar overall experiences. TRUST NOBODY associated with J & J Services. My review is simply to warn others of this scamming shop! I do not care to hear any explanation provided by Juluis as he is a proven liar!
