I obtained JK Pest and Termite's services in October, 2012. I signed up for the quarterly pest control contract for a year. He sprayed for insects and baited for mice, etc. In addition, we had a groundhog that [redacted] (the owner) was going to trap and remove. I wrote a check for $700.00 on 10/11/12. The groundhog would not take the bait, and therefore [redacted] promised a refund for that portion of the monies. January came and went without the quarterly spraying. I called him in April, 2013 and requested service. He could not explain why I was "skipped" in January, but came out to spray on 4/22/13. He then handed me a bill for $95. I reminded him that I had the quarterly service and had already paid him for the year. July, 2013 came and I called again to request my quarterly spraying and set up a time window for him to come out. He did not show up; I then called again and set up another time the following week, to which he also did not show up. I then called [redacted] and left a msg. stating that I did not wish for him to come out again and that I would like a refund for the portion of the contract not honored. I subsequently called another pest control company to obtain services. Between July and September 2013, I called and left several msgs. (3-5) with [redacted]'s voicemail. I never got a response back. I called him on 9/22/13 and left a msg. stating that I needed to hear back from him by the end of the day or I would be forced to pursue further action. Lo and behold, he called me back about 45 minutes later and said that he would call me back that evening by 6:00pm when he had gotten a chance to look at the records at the office. He did not call me back that day or any other day. I called a final time on 10/4/13 and left a message giving him yet one more chance to call me back, to no avail. I then sent him a letter formally requesting a $400.00 refund for services not rendered. I gave him until Friday 10/11/13 to respond. I stated that if I did not hear from him by then, I would be forced to pursue other action. As of today, 10/18/13, I have heard nothing. I really did try my best to be patient and to resolve this between the two of us. I sincerely hope that you can help in this matter. she paid $225 initial for pest control, $225 for wasp/bee removal around the exterior foundation and $250 for animal removal. once the trap is set, whether or not an animal is trapped, there is no refund for that specific animal service. the total does come to $700, all services were performed and completed. bees/wasps nests were removed, interior and an exterior treatment was completed and the animal trap was set and no animal was trapped. a quarterly treatment was perfomed without payment of $95. there is still an outstanding balance of $95 from this former client. ive never heard of someone complaining about a company, when money is owed by the client. jk pest & termite has all the original treatment paperwork and invoice for this transaction and is still owed $95 for the quarterly treatment that was performed.
