Review: I called this company to repair my air conditioner and after 40 minutes the repairman couldn't find anything wrong. He asked if I cleaned the compressor and I said yes, every spring. He said it looked clean and tested the air flow and said it seemed good. After checking the Freon levels for the third time he said he would hose it out for me to make sure it was clean. He did this for all of five minutes and announced that should fix the problem. I told him the air was still not working and he said it would take a few hours to draw the humidity out of the house. He proceeded to charge me $216.83 cents. Five hours later the temperature hadn't dropped a single degree. I called them and so far they haven't returned my call. I had another serviceman come and he added 2 lbs. of gas and it is working great.Desired Settlement: I want this posted on your site so other people can read it. I stopped payment on the check but if it should happen to clear I would like a refund. I expect the only call I'll get is when they realize the payment was stopped.

Response:
My company responded to Mr. [redacted]’s residence at 11:25 AM on 7/3/14. My technician with 35 years of experience in HVAC service work, analyzed the system by checking the electrical components and refrigerant charge following industry accepted procedures. He diagnosed the problem as an impacted condensing unit. He proceeded to thoroughly clean and dry the condensing unit and reassess the situation. Once again, he checked all of the electrical components finding no problems and the refrigerant charge and determined that it was within normal limits. He completed his work at 12:30pm asking the home owner to call if he any more problems.
My answering service received a call from the home owner at 10:16 PM on 7/3/14 demanding his money back. He did not call to let us know there was still a problem earlier in the day when we could have addressed the issue. Instead he called another company.
Since it was a holiday weekend, I did not return his call immediately, planning to return the call on Monday. Before I had a chance to make that call, I received this complaint from the Revdex.com.
I wrote the home owner a letter returning his un-cashed check.
