DearSir,Thank you affording us the opportunity to provide you with our account of the incident referred within the letter sent by your office on Wednesday, June 03, 2015, regarding a complaint from Mr*** ***, a patron
of our establishment on May 31, 2015.We acknowledge that an
incidentinvolving an intoxicated individual arrived at our establishment shortlyafter o'clockin the evening. The into icated male as identified in your letteras Mr***,did order food itemsdescribe in your letter, with exception to the fact that he did not initially order anyfifth meal as well
as present himseas he describes his behavior in yourletterHe arrived at our drive innwith several individuals; he appeared to be upset and brashand intimidating; other patrons waitingon theirfood order at the time he approached the counter to order his choices of food step away
as he stumbled and his speechwas indistinct; consistent with someone who is very intoxicated. After my employee (cashier)was very concernand aware of hiscondition as she recorded his food order,as he spoke to her, as a practice our cahiers is to write the food order down in an order log tablet notebooka standard each cashieris required to do as part of our business practice. After taking the order Mr***, began to arguewith a customer standing to the right of Mr***, near the order window,he was simply waiting on his food order; in response that patron step away from the counterto avoid any violent outburst by Mr***My cashier informed my manager on duty, at the time Mr***, who instructed the cashiers to
remain calm and focus on getting the orders out at no time did they confront or use any obscene langue towards Mr*** or anyone in his
group. At this time my cashier on dutydid inform Mr***that if he continue this line of behavior, she can and will refuse service to him as signs indicate this policy on
our window surrounding the counter; at which time one of our patron's concernedfor his and our welfare chose to call for police assistance on his cellulartelephone as other associates of Mr*** begun to threaten him
and those standing near our seating area waiting their orders This behaviorby him continued until Mr***'s meals were
ready.Whereby, at that time after receiving his order Mr*** insisted he order five meal plates not four meal plates and that a
shrimp combination regularplate meal is missing. He publically deemed her and accused her of being stupid, rude, and shouldbe terminated for not getting his order correctMy manger, Mr***, who witnessthe exchange simply had the cook order the missing plate to appease the situation and to
simply move them on their way; he did not charge Mr***, for the additional plate nor was he initially charged for such plate as he only ordered four meals upon giving my cashierhis order. We have simply wanted to have him and his group
to depart from our establishment; as we did not know what type of intoxicants they were on and we also were concerned for our patrons arriving to our place of businessMr*** and his group continueto be obscene as they enteredinto their vehicle and departed from our drive-inn Approximately a half hour later thepolice initially called by our patron shortlyafter o'clockarriveThey were informed that the Mr***, and his group left, was given
description information.Again, thank you for informing us of this issue as well as allowingus the opportunity to respond in writingour account of the incident, we now have a name to provide to thepolice for their follow up should Mr***, return to our establishment At present, we feel based on my manger's account of the incident he witness the behavior of customer later identified Mr***, as well as being well aware the
incident referred in your letterthat we feel no compensation is warranted nor anyone under our
employ conducted themselves professionally, and don't require
disciplinary actionWe consider this matter closedas Mr***, as since not return to our place ofbusiness. We were instructed by the responding HPD police officer(s) that nhe should return to our business to callthem immediately and they will trespass him from our place of business.Thank you for your attention and assistance in the entitled matterPlease let us know if you have any questions or require further information or assistance.Owner/Operator Barbecu Kai, IncThursday, June 18,
