This customer bought a car from us and she was sitting looking through her paperwork and said she didn’t know it was a prior salvage.  I told her that and reminded her that it was wrecked.  I showed her about 3 times and she was fine with it.  She didn’t spend a whole lot of money on...

it.  It didn’t have a ton of miles on it – about 120,000.  I told her I needed to get an emblem on it and she called and said her dash lights aren’t working.  We looked at it and it needed a headlight switch.  I told her I would try to find her a used one because the new one would be about $350.  She called back and said the AC wasn’t working and it was running bad.  I asked her to make a list of what is wrong with it and we will go from there.  I told her I couldn’t fix it for free, but I would definitely make a deal with her and treat her good.  We sat down and wrote everything out that was wrong with it: the AC, the headlights, turn signals and the emblem, which we were working on.  She left with it that day. I spent about 2 hours figuring everything out on it.  I told her it was ready and she came in so I could explain her what happened.  She took the keys off the counter and stomped out the door.  She got in her car and drove off.  I wanted to talk to her and was yelling that I wanted to explain everything to her.  She drove off because I think she thought she owed us money.   I called her and I told her I wanted to talk to her and she claimed she had talked to my wife, which she had not.  She said my wife told her I did not have time to talk to her.  She didn’t even give us a chance to fix anything for her.  We tried working with her and it would have been easy to put the original $350 new part on for her, but she stated she had no money, so we were trying to help her with other options.  Right off the bat, she called threatening about the law, etc.  Her son put a high dollar stereo system in this car, which his installation could have been part of the issue with the car as well.  I never even got to look at the car and at this point, we are not willing to work with her because of the way she handled the situation and we do not know what else she would do.
