We bought this house with a foundation repair that came with a warrantyTurns out the business never finished the job and now we have issues
Our home came with a transferable warranty for the foundation when we bought it I get a call in March of asking if they can come out because the home owner before us never finished the job's permit back in February of and our warranty is null until we can get a water test to prove the foundation is soundWe bought the house in late June of The company came out, the pipes failed the test, they dug a huge whole in our yard and installed new pipesHe then tells us that there are two huge leaks under our home and it's going to be $7,to repair it and I owe him $for installing new pipesThe company should've closed their permit a year earlierNow we have cracked tiles and ceilings because of foundation issues and I can't even contact them to come repair it because I don't trust them and they say they can't until plumbin

The house continued to shift and new cracks opened upHe gravely insisted we needed to install the drip lineWe've never had a pier and beam foundation before, so we had one installedhe had a buddy who could help us out
The cracking and shifting got worseWe've now had three engineers out to the house who told us the irrigation drip line was a mistake and we need to have it taken outThe water from the irrigation lines a) can only make the shifting worse because the ground under the house is dry, and b) placed in such a way that most of it drains into our drainswhich are working finerather than giving any benefit to the foundation
I understand differing philosophies when it comes to addressing foundation issues, but it feels like we've been pressured into a situation where his friend's buddy gets the work and he gets a kickbackAnd meanwhile, our house is worse off
