J & M Pool Plastering

My stone and boulder pool is 31 years old and hadn’t been replastered since it was built. After becoming disabled in 2009, I wasn’t able to maintain it properly, and it needed major restoration. I’m so glad I found J&M Pool Plastering. Jesse was the foreman and represents the 'J' in the company name, and led an excellent, professional crew. His communications were excellent and he constantly kept me informed as they ran into unforseen problems, and there were a few on the old pool, and always gave me good options. His father, Juan, who started the company 37 years ago, personally helped resolve a difficult pool light issue and went above and beyond to make sure it was fixed. He also helped identify some early settling cracks in the shell, and showed up to explain them to me before they expertly and permanently repaired them with staples and epoxy. They sealed the stone around the entire pool, filled cracks between the boulders and walkway, and treated every part of the job with care and respect for my property. They even did things here and there for me that were not on the work order. Just plain, good people! Their hard work, integrity, and craftsmanship were nothing short of heroic and was impeccable. I now consider them friends. The Tahoe Blue quartz finish I chose looks absolutely beautiful. A heartfelt thank you to Jesse, Juan, Ana, and the entire J&M team! My pool is beautiful and I'll think of you when I'm in it. I'll add Photos when the startup is done.

I'm not upset with the job they did or the clean up they didWhat we are upset about is that we feel Joun in a way tried to black mail us, and this is why We had our pool plastered with diamond crystal, [redacted] wanted us to purchase the start up package for $We did not do thisSo he gave us a package of start up directionsThey did not seem to be clear or completeSo we went to a pool company and they called [redacted] to ask some questionsthis was the questionHow long should they leave the miratice acid in the pool to bring out the crystals [redacted] told her to days brushing twice a dayWe did this while working with the pool company because this part is very importantafter we started finishing the proses , the crystals never came out, so we called [redacted] ourselves and told him this, he said and I quote"you have to start over and leave the acid in until you get the pool to look like you want" this is after speaking to the pool company and not saying this at allThen he said we can do it for $I said no we just needed to know how to bring the crystals outI said why did you not tell us this before we spent $on chemicalsHe said you should have let us do itUnwilling to work with you if you don't let them do it

J&M performed very good work at a reasonable price The team of workers was very friendly and [redacted] was honest in his assessment of the job and timeline to completion I would highly recommend J&M!!
