We hired Dunnagan's to move just a few miles They assured us that all wooden furniture would be wrapped in blankets and couches, etc would be wrapped in plastic We asked about paying for additional insurance and they assured us that we didn't need it because they have never had damage to any furnitureSo we didn't pay the additional insuranceThey apparently ran out of blankets and did not wrap several of our wooden pieces We were told this by Dunnagan himself after the move I was at the new house when the furniture arrived and watched my furniture being taken off the truck with no blankets, and "wood on wood." The staff was hurried by the end of the day and I saw them hit the brick on my house with several chairs and end tables, resulting in several deep gauges in my furniture We called the owner after looking at the furniture At least pieces were badly gauged or scraped The owner came out and proceeded to use a colored pencil to "cover the scrapes." He agreed to have someone come out and fix one piece of furniture that was badly gauged After four months of waiting for the furniture person to come out, with no return phone calls, we found someone to fix our most damaged pieces The cost was over $We went to small claims court to try and get back some of our money and Dunnagan lied and said that most of the damage was from vacuum cleaners Not sure how the top of a bureau gets damaged from a vacuum cleaner They also lied in court and said they wrapped all pieces of furniture in blankets, which they did not I watched the furniture being taken off the truck Their work was not only unprofessional, but we are now faced with over $in repairs, and some of the furniture is still not repaired In addition, Dunnagan's level of integrity is very poor as he made promises that he didn't follow through with and then lied in court I have moved many times and have never had this kind of damage to my furniture I would highly recommend staying away from this company if you want your furniture intact when you move
