Review: On May **, 2012 I walked into the [redacted] office of my chiropractor for a visit. After finding out that my doctor wasn't available yet I met [redacted], who shared the same office space, in the waiting area. I said that I was experiencing some stiffness and pain in my middle toes and asked him if he had any suggestions on what it could be. He took me back to his office and simply looked at my feet. After 5 to 10 minutes (minimum) I slipped on my flip flops and was told he saw nothing wrong and that some times age can cause us to have strange pains, I was relieved to hear this because I was worried it was major being my father who had just died had foot issues due to [redacted] and although I had just gotten my blood work done a few months before it was still fresh in my head. Soon after that brief visit my feet got better. I was relieved and never saw or heard from [redacted] again. Suddenly a year after this visit I am getting bills for the amount of $88.21 from [redacted]'s New York based office. I am baffled at the extreme amount of time that has passed by and also at the fact that if I had received this bill back then I could of probably taken care of it through my insurance company being that I had met my "then" deductible. I called the office and was put on hold several times, Hung up on and talked to 3 different people regarding this matter with no help on this situation I was finally told "the Office is very busy right now, Can we call you back", I said yes and have yet to hear from them again. Feeling upset and overwhelmed I called family members who led me here suggesting I file this complaint due to the very unprofessional and rather questionable manner, the time lapsed, the lack of itemized cost on my bill and the cost itself. I also must include that we are filing for loans at the moment for my Daughters College and I don't need anything disrupting my credit. I hope you can help me resolve this issue. I am very upset and shaken up over this matter & sleepless.Desired Settlement: I do not believe I should have to pay this fee of $88.21 a full year after this meeting Nor do I want this to go into collections due to my credit. This bill should have been taken up with my insurance company at that time and not passed to me a full year later. Truly makes me wonder just how many other's are out there being billed a full year later with the amount just under $100.00.
