This company was the drywaller for our home built by [redacted] Homebuilders. In December of 2012 we found a leak from a sewage pipe that was leaking sewage from a bathroom into the wall of my 2.5 year olds bedroom. Upon removal of the dry wall we found a wall encased with black mold from ceiling to floor and that 6 nail holes had been made in the sewage pipe. It was evident that the nails had been put in and then removed and then replaced into the 2x4 located just adjacent to the pipe. They never removed the drywall to see the damage had been done hence sewage leaking into the wall of our baby's room for the past number of years.I called [redacted], the owner, to come and meet with us to take a look and asked for him to repair the damage. This damage would be minimal (1. Remove the damage pipe 2) pay to have a mold removal company come out and inspect to remove the mold 3) replace with a new pipe and 4) drywall and repaint. I spoke to him live three times. We made scheduled appointments and he never showed to any of them.He then stated on our last call he would not be responsible for damage done by his guys in years past. This is ridiculous, unacceptable, unprofessional. Most of all, the mold is extremely dangerous especially to my now allergy ridden three year old.Desired SettlementI would like a refund for:1) the time we spent on missing work for having to contact him and the work being done2) the cost for the plumber3) the cost for the mold removal specialist 4) recent medical bills for my son who has developed allergies and asthma since the damage was found
