J & P Restoration

Job was never finished. $14K was paid for roof on house and garage to be replaced and siding on house and the job was never completed. Roof on house and garage was replaced but old shingles were left in yard and the gutters on the garage were not reinstalled on the garage stated in the insurance claim. Siding for house never completed. Balance of insurance $ was to be paid upon completion of job, which never happened.

I hired J&P to replace my fascia, soffit, and side my home. This job was supposed to take 1 day to complete. It has now been over a month and a half and J&P will not answer any form of communication and never returns my messages. When they did reply earlier they would say we will be out today or the job will be finished by the end of the day or the week on multiple occasions. They were not telling the truth.

The contract was changed halfway through the job, raising the price. The workers would come to my home at dark to start working, and they never cleaned up. There are multiple things that still need done. I have different size shutters that are not applied straight, downspouts that for some reason way to short now, and spray paint as well as holes in my new siding. Also the nails they used to apply the siding were way to long and knocked my fuse box a good 1/2” out of the drywall.

Now I am considering the job abandoned. The sad part is the last time they were at my house I was assured the job would be completed so I paid the rest of the money. I would be very cautious of doing business with J&P.

I filed an insurance claim back in June 2017 because of wind damage to my roof, some shingles missing and some drywall damage in one of the bedroom ceilings. On June 7th, 2017, I wrote a check to John P for over $1,600. He NEVER DID ONE REPAIR!!!! He would give me excuse after excuse and finally I was sick of it and filed a police report for theft!!!! He was arrested in December 2017 and posted bail after a couple of days. He is charged with a felony!! I may never see my money again, but I will make sure and do all that I can to warn other people and make sure that this never happens to anyone again!! Do not believe anything that this man says! It is all lies!!
