[redacted] came into our shop and said he just bought the truck and the person he bought it from told him the a/c was fine and wanted his a/c serviced because it wasn't working and that it was just low on freon and all he wanted us to do was to recharge the system.  I suggested...

when I wrote up the service ticket that we put oil dye in and to come back in a couple of days for us to check it at no cost to see if there were any other leaks.  He didn't want to spend the $18.00 that the oil dye costs and just wanted it recharged.  We did what he requested and told him that the low pressure cycling switch was bad. Told customer we didn't have the switch on hand and we could order it and the customer said he didn't want to wait and we told him he could pick up the switch at autozone and told customer that there was an o-ring that had to be replaced when the switch was replaced and we could do it for him or he could do it himself.  He either chose to do it himself or had a friend do it for him rather than allowing us to take care of the problem and who ever did it didn't do it correctly or he wouldn't have lost the freon we put in or there was another leak in the system.  I called Victor and asked him why he didn't come back to us to take care of the problem and his response was he thought we ripped him off.  I told Victor to come back and I would refund him the money he spent and that he could take his truck any place he wanted in the future.[redacted]

Review: I brought in my 1995 GMC pickup for air conditioning service. The service includes: 1)Check condition of all elts and lines, 2) Evacuate and recharge with reclaimed [redacted](Freon), and 3)Test system performance. I brought my truck in on Saturday, April 12, 2014, they supposedly serviced And tested it and sent me on my way. The air conditioner was working great. I parked my truck for the night. On Sunday morning, April 13, 2014 I had to run a few errands, so I went to my truck, started it and lo and behold the air conditioner was not working. After some investigation I found out that they had fixed so that the freon would slowly leak so I couldn't see it or smell it. They put something in the lines, I checked it with a serviceman from an auto parts store. On Monday I went back to J & R Automotive and as I was pulling up the man who worked on my truck sped out of sight so fast it was unbelieveable. A minute or so later a younger man came out to talk to me and I told him that my air wasn't working after being there on Saturday. Well, this man said for me to leave the truck and it would cost me another $99.00 on top of the $107.81 I had already paid for air conditioning service. He said it was for more servicing. I got so angry I had to turn around and leave, before I did something we both would have regretted. So now I am turning to you. I would like a reimbursement for, like I mentioned earlier, $107.81.
