the vehicle and did not charge them for any of the work preformed nor for the tow this all being done after the customer made these remarks towards the sales staff and just anyone close by at this point we feel that we have gone above and beyond to help them from this point further we cannot continue to do business with a person who feels it is ok for them to treat sales staff in this manner and people who just happen to be in the office

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
The parts that I received were already broken…BOTH of them. The arm rest was missing a latch. The hinge works now, but the latch is broken. You can see where it was SUPPOSED to be and a little broken plastic tab sticking out. The glove compartment door has a functioning hinge, but it was also broken. This hinge is at least attached, but it was broken half of the way through. I’ve already repaired that with a temporary fix by drilling a hole in it and adding a screw to reinforce it. Then I unlatched the switch that is connected to it because that is what caused it to fail in mine as well as the one you purchased from the junk yard.
When you told me the price of the car was being lowered and how good of a deal that was, you then wanted me to pay for parts. I told you I didn’t want to pay $1000 for parts because I had already roughly estimated the cost of the parts. I figured it would be anywhere between $250 and $350 for each item. That is the reason I wanted to figure out costs with you at that time and I specifically said, “It IS a good deal, but not if I have to pay $1000 for parts.” You came up with $360 as the total cost that I would pay and you would cover labor. Me making an appointment does not work, obviously, because you wouldn’t schedule one unless I called on that day to see if it was available. You are trying to say that the cost of the 2 parts was $360 and you haven’t even ordered the motor.
I’ve already been to the dealership and they verified the part that needs to be replaced is $250. You cannot buy the parts separately, so you have to buy the motor and it comes with a gear. I told you THAT DAY that the gear was the problem – I even wrote it on the paper.
From the beginning, I’ve had nothing but trouble with you and your horrible service. On top of that, you ordered junkyard parts that were already broken. But, I already know that I can’t prove they were broken when you gave them to me and you are counting on that – hence, the reason you so eagerly loaded them into my car and sent me on my way. Now, you want me to allow you to inspect my car so that you can order MORE used, broken parts? Then, you think I want you to work on the driver’s seat of my car – that has to be unbolted and removed from the car in order to replace that motor – when you have already shown me that you cannot be trusted to do the work on a part that has nothing to do with safety? That’s not happening. I don’t want you TOUCHING my car now. Who knows what else will end up broken or installed incorrectly.
To add to all of this, you gave me “interest-free financing” on the $858.00 Tax and License fees, but then sent me a letter saying that your “estimate” of those charges was incorrect and want me to pay you almost $25.00 more. It’s just one negative experience after another with you.
I’ll make my payments on the $858 because that is what I agreed to do. The first one will go in the mail today as a certified letter so that you have to sign for it because, again, I don’t trust you. Obviously, you are going to keep twisting things and trying to make it MY fault that you have provided horrible service and not do anything to actually make this right. Filing a complaint with the Revdex.com has not helped at all. My next step will be to call [redacted].Sincerely,[redacted]

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. ... But the principle of the situation was YOU HANDLED ALOT OF THE SITUATIONS WE WERE DEALING WITH UNPROFESSIONALLY. simple as that... You didnt explain certain things that a car dealer would explain... Or supposed to....making it feel like your ripping me off....when I come to you with problems via my car....its your best bet to atleast show some concern. Because next time......   Let's hope that there isn't gonna be a next time....because instead of Revdex.com I will probably search for your bosses boss....  Sincerely, Danny T[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
I told them I was looking for an All-Wheel Drive vehicle, most likely an Audi. He asked what my budget was and I told him the MOST I could do was $6000. This vehicle was the one he showed me. The list price was $7495.00. He gave me that, "I talked to my manager and he said I can sell you this one for $6000." They even let me test drive the vehicle for about 5 hours. It wasn't until I was inspecting the car with my mechanic that I realized they'd sent me on the road without any kind of license plate or legal licensing for the vehicle.
When I returned, I explained my concerns:
1. The glove compartment door falls off in your hand if you open it because of a broken hinge
2. The door for the arm rest in the center of the car also comes off in your hand when you open it because of a broken hinge
3. The panel that the seat controls are attached to does not stay in place because of a broken clip
4. The driver's seat does not adjust the height. The motor runs, but it doesn't actually move up/down. It is stuck all the way up (which puts my head against the roof of the car if I don't lay the seat back)
He said, "We can replace the parts listed, you will have to pay for the parts. We just took $1500 off of the price of the car. You're getting a great deal."I asked how much those parts would be and he said he doesn't know. I said, "I am not going to buy the car if I am going to have to spend $1000 on parts - that is not a good deal anymore."
That is where the $360 came in. He very quickly threw some numbers out for each part. $200 for the seat, $120 for the arms rest and $40 for the glove compartment door. A total of $360.00. He estimated it would take approximately 1-2 hours to do those repairs and, if I cover the cost of the parts up to a maximum of $360.00, they would do the work at no charge. I agreed to this (attached document)
When I asked what would happen if the parts were less than that $360, he got irritated and that was when he said, "What do you want, a receipt? Do you think we are trying to screw you? What if it's more? Then we have to cover that. We are running a business here and we need our customers to be happy in order to sell cars." All the while, never agreed to show me a receipt for the parts. However, since I got it in writing that the parts would be replaced and the most I would have to pay for that stuff was $360.00 (including installation), I let that one go. To me, that was a good deal...IF THE WORK WAS DONE AS PROMISED!
He told me 2 hours from when the parts were ordered - that was how long it would take. I knew that was not reasonable because it was a holiday weekend coming up and it would take time. However, with him telling me 2 hours and that they would order it the next day, I thought I would at least receive a phone call. I didn't get one on 12/29 like I thought I would. I had to show up on 12/30 and he said they were ordered. I asked how long and he said it may take a few days. At this point, I'm not even certain the parts were ordered.
I waited over a week before contacting them again because I thought they might reach out to me to tell me when the parts would be in as soon as they had a shipping date. They did not. So, again, I stopped at the dealership to inquire. That was when he asked another guy in the office and that guy said, “The parts are ordered. I just got the tracking numbers. Let me check… They are supposed to be here next week on Tuesday.”
I explained that I would be out of town from Saturday, 01/09, and would return on Monday, 01/18. I asked if I could schedule an appointment to get them installed and how long it would take to install the parts because this car is my only mode of transportation and I will need to figure out a ride.
He told me to wait until the parts arrived before we schedule the time to install them. I agreed to that, but was very frustrated because I have not gotten ANY finite answers from him. I had given him $6000 in cash and agreed to pay an additional $858 over the next 90 days PLUS pay up to $360 for parts that they were going to install. I was already way over my budget, but they were very reasonable about the payment terms. I feel like that is the ONLY part they have been reasonable about.
Once the parts arrived, they did finally call me. I was still out of town and, again, I told him I’d be back on Monday. I asked if we could schedule a time to install them. All the while, I believed ALL of the parts were ordered. He said to stop in when I got back and we could figure out a time to do the installation.
I went in and he showed me the parts. The glove compartment was out of a used vehicle – this could have just been taken from one of the cars on the lot as they had others it could come from and then I would have been set with that part and they could have done all of this on their own time. Instead, they ordered a used unit that looks more worn than what is in the car now – less the broken hinge on the one currently in the car. His solution was, “Put some Armor All on it.”
He loaded the box into my car for me and, again, asked about scheduling an appointment to have it done because I need to plan this so that I have a ride to drop off my car and pick it up when it is finished.
His response was, “Usually, Friday and Saturday are the least busy days for us.”
I asked if I could schedule something for Friday and he said, “You know how mechanics are. They are not always here. Why don’t you call us on Friday and we will see what it looks like.” He STILL was not scheduling anything so that I could plan arrangements accordingly.
I finally just installed the two parts, but really have no idea how much the cost. Now, based upon his response, it sounds like they are also going to attempt to charge me for the seat parts. Every time I ask about length of time, he always tells me ‘a couple of hours’ or ‘one to two hours’ but never gives me anything more than that and always tries to have me call that day to see when they are able to do it. The service has been horrible since the moment I gave him my cash. I’ve also had to do an oil change as that was not completed. The car was also low on oil as it has an oil leak. I expect things like that and can fix those. I don’t expect to have this much hassle to fix parts after I hand someone $6000, agree to pay the tax and licensing fees on top of what I already said my budget was, also agree to pay an additional $360 for the parts. Now, I’m going to have to go back to them TWICE for repairs. Once to have them figure out what the problem is and the other to go back for them to replace the broken/faulty parts. I’m so frustrated with their service that I just want to be done with them entirely. Especially with my lack of trusting them now – how do I know the parts will be NEW parts? They have already shown me that they won’t always order new parts. How do I know the installation will be done right? They took me for a test drive, drove 100 MPH (in a 60 MPH zone), and the car didn’t even have good, working brakes! I don’t trust any repairs they are talking about doing when it comes to something like the seat which has safety concerns if it’s not done properly.
Sincerely,[redacted]
