J & S Mechanical has been my for the past couple of years I'm Soo glad that my home warranty company introduced me to them I trust the service they provide - both in house scheduling/administrative and in the house maintenance and repair They are always courteous and give me details of what's needed (or not needed) They're currently providing plumbing and HVAC maintenance for my rental property I have and will continue referring them whenever possible J&S Mechanical, when it comes to repairs and maintenance, you put me at ease - thank you

Amazing customer service on the phone as well as from the two gentlemen who came to my homeI can't express enough how relieved I am to have my air conditioner repaired after several failed attempts from other companiesThe office staff was also very pleasant and easy to work withThe time frames are a little long but when I asked alternatives of an hour notice solved the issue

This complaint is regarding the customer service from the business office staff They are very unprofessional, unresponsive, rude and down right vulgar This was the experience had from one person and then someone claiming to be the owner

months into our new home the air conditioning stopped blowing cold airIt is June in Georgia so it's averaging in the mid 90's during the dayWe have a home warranty through *** *** *** *** *** so decided to go that route due to the unknown cost of repairsThe customer service rep put in the service request and immediately told me that J&S Mechanical Contractors would be the company handling the order, and to expect a call from them within hoursI immediately did an online search and found multiple sites with bad reviews for this companyKnowing that more people go online to post bad reviews than good ones I read through a sampling of reviews on multiple sites and found a few common issues, one of which was the company claiming they called the customer to set up an appointment and left a message, but the reviewer noting otherwiseBUT, I decided to give them a chance
A few hours later I went ahead and called J&S Mechanical Contractors to check on the status of the order and make sure it was receivedA lady answered and said that we would be called by the end of the day to set up the appointmentThey close at 6pm so at 5:30pm I called them back and asked about the status of my orderThe same lady answered and after looking up my address said that they tried to call me around 2:and left a message, but since they did not reach me they filled their appointments for the next day (a friday) and they couldn't fit me in until Monday or Tuesday, and would have to call me back to confirm
This claim of calling me and leaving a voicemail sounded familiar from multiple reviews I had read, so I decided to call *** *** *** *** *** back and inform them that I would be without air conditioning for at least days due to the availability of the company they chose
After calling *** *** *** *** *** they were able to find Ace Pierce Appliance Inc, who said they could either come out the next day (friday) or Saturday afternoon at the latestI called them Friday afternoon to confirm and left a voice message with Charles, who called me back within an hour or two and said he was on his way back from Canton and could come by if I was homeLuckily I was, and after a brief description of the issue over the phone he said he would swing by the shop to grab a few parts to try and make sure it was a one stop fixAbout an hour later he arrived, and within minutes our air conditioning was back in business!
Moral of the story is when multiple reviews sound like the same bad experience, trust your instinct

All I can say is this company has terrible customer service and is running a scam between themselves and First American Home warranty. If your HVAC system requires any parts under warranty this company will bill you for unneeded modifications that they know aren't covered to make up for First American home warranty's contracted rates. Essentially there is collusion between the company's to ensure the consumer in the end pays the same amount they would without the warranty and leaves the consumer with no other options.

J&S was sent to my home by my home warranty people to repair a busted kitchen drain pipe. They wrote the work up, got it approved by the warranty people, and I had an appointment on Monday between 12 PM and 6 PM. At 9 PM, the plumber called to say he'd be there "in an hour or so" to do a 3-4 hour job of replacing a section of my cast iron drain pipe. Because of the time, I wouldn't let him come. He reported that I cancelled the appointment and they wanted to move me to the "end of the line" for a new appointment. When I called the warranty people for a new plumber, J&S told them that my plumbing problem was NOW due to improper installation (the house is 40 years old) and I have now been told that the repairs are not covered. Funny that it was covered last week and there was no mention of improper installation, but now that I'm trying to find someone other than their company to do the repairs, they're screwing me over with the warranty company. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CHEATS!!!

A technician, Chris, came out to my house yesterday, and was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He was quick and fixed everything I asked about with no qualms and actually seemed eager to help. I would rate 10/10 and will continue to use J & S in the future, and would recommend to anyone.

I contacted J and S to have my AC repaired. The tech informed me that I needed additional coolant but never checked the unit or thermostat to see if it was working. As soon as he left my home the AC stopped working. I called him immediately to inform him of the issue. I also called his office and they said he could not return today. I took off work and ask if he could please come back today and was told that he was already on the other side of town when I called 5 minutes after he left. They also implied that he checked the thermostat, but I told them he did not. Honestly I got upset at that point and was told I'm letting you rant and rave so... I could not believe she said that! She then hung up on me. I called back to talk to a manager and was told that I was speaking to the owner. I could not believe that an owner of a business would talk to a customer in that way and would not try to immediately rectify an issue that was not resolved!
