I am writing you to refute the allegations made by *** ***">We are well respected, consciousness contractors who pride ourselves for our craftsmanship, courteousness and timeliness I feel this is an attempt to exploit these hard earned attributes This attempt to besmirch our good name is simply not true
During the performance of this job we were acting in the capacity of representatives for *** *** *** ***
How that works, is, the customer purchases a product and we assembly itIt is a fee-based service The customer buys the service through *** We quote a price, they accept, we schedule ,report and assembleAll of these metrics are captured by ***
In approx April of last year we arrived *** *** residence on time, fully prepared to assemble two closet organizers with shelves. He purchased two separate individual organizers that were in his home upon our arrival*** *** purchased these two closet organizers from *** which were manufactured in eight feet long sizes, end to endHis intent was to install them in an "L" shape,in a closet that was approx 7’ (feet) longAny other company would of had left at that point as this was not a simple install and would require customizationWe were hired to install a fixed length of shelvingThe customer was responsible to assure it would fit.The service was not to fabricate custom shelving, but to install a fixed piece of furniture, if you will
I am a skilled carpenter and feeling bad for the customer,,I offered to "make it fit" AT NO EXTRA CHARGEIn order to facilitate the install I had to cut both sets of closet organizers , ALL shelves were cut to fit exactConsider the shape of an"L" Next, I had to customize an entirely different closet organizer to form the short side of the "L"shape
This added hours onto the original scope-of-work...mind you...no extra chargeEach piece was customized to fit his area*** *** paid for an assembly and received a custom installHe was tickled and impressed by our service and the extra mile we took, offering me the installation of a cat door job.the assumption was he liked my work and offered me moreHe left the house, however his wife remainedUpon completion she was elated with the outcomeI asked about the scraps and she informed me they had no need for them We were there all day, me and two helpersWe cleaned up, everyone was happyThe following day we received a communication from *** *** praising our workI want to get this off to you but will look for the message as it was either e-mail, text or in *** Service e-mail ( I will also tie down dates as needed)
A few weeks later *** *** asked about the installation of the cat door and I informed him I was booked and unable to do the job at that timeI did not want to circumvent *** and our agreement so I told him to go through *** He was not happyWhy, is really not clear to meMy crew knows to keep that truck clean and ready for the next day's workThey rightfully disposed of the scrap after job completionAfter months, *** *** called many time asking about the wood(Mostly texts)
After being stalked by many phone calls and text I asked what did he want...? me to pay for his closet organizer! After a week he called and said he never received the money for the organizers..I never said I would pay for his organizersI obviously was flabbergasted with his unreasonableness and blurted out the most unrealistic thing...what can I do about scraps "do you want me to pay for the organizers!!!!"
Not in my wildest dreams did I think he seriously thought I was offering to pay.I reiterated that I was not paying for his scrapsPlease advise me how this will be handledI would not want my good named smeared because of a perceived injusticeBeing in the renovation and construction industry for many years I never have received a complaint. You must know that this is an accomplishment .Please consider the facts before validating this complaint

Why are we arguing semantics about what we are calling left over pieces of wood from the original job?
[redacted] said he was happy with the original job. Now he is looking for financial relief! There was no additional charges,no price quote to fabricate any additional work.
His wife had to assume that the "left-over shelving" was not of use and instructed us to dispose of it when we asked her. Why would we throw out the scrap if we obtained a request to perform another job. It all makes no sense.
So, lets review...I go and do a job and on my own volition custom build it to fit his space.
The job was done and paid for and completed to his satisfaction.Done.
He got for what he paid for.
No monies were charged nor given for his "leftover shelving" the SECOND perceived job.
In his mind he may believe that we were going to do it for free...whatever...he was not there...his wife instructed us to throw it out.
If he wishes to extort monies from us ...ask him how much he wants.
As far as text...I was dealing with an unreasonable man.
I stand by my responses.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The response from MR [redacted] is just not correct and is full of untruths.  First of all, my complaint had nothing to do with the original closet organizer install.  that work was preformed as expected.  The compliant is in regards to the shelves pieces (not scraps as he calls them) he took.  He was going to modify the shelf pieces he took to fit the closet install.  When I asked him months later where the pieces he took  were, he said he could not find them and would "refund u in full" via  a text from 11/19/15.  I have the entire text string from 10/22/15 until 12/3/15 when he stopped responding to me.  The last test from him states "let me check with my office manager to see if check was sent".  I can send all the texts as needed to prove Mr [redacted]'s response is just not true.
I also find it very convenient that he only responded when I escalated my complaint to the Revdex.com.  I texted him 9 times between 12/4/15 until 1/20/16 and he never responded.
Also if he had such an issue with the scope of the original install he should've mentioned it at the time of the install.  He is only mentioning now to divert from my complaint which as stated had nothing to do with the original install.  Also, The entire paragraph that starts with "after being stalked by many phone calls..." is an utter lie.  It never happened.  I did not call him one time.  it was all over text.  I would be happy to have Mr [redacted] send a record of my incoming call(s) to him.  He simply cannnot as it never happened.  We never spoke on the phone abut this issue.  He is another dishonest contractor who is trying to cover himself since I filed this complaint with the Revdex.com.  I want the $200 he said he would send back to me and I want this negative item on record for his business.  the fact that his retort is almost an entire utter lie is a disgrace and he should be ashamed.
Regards,
[redacted]
