Response to the letter written to the Revdex.comI was hired to come out and repair ceiling in two separate areas due to some water damageThe areas were already opened up (as if someone had already done some repairs) we simly tore the area open a little further and assessed the damage and let the homeowner know the area looks dry and performed the drywall reapirs, some trim work and painted the affected areasPlease see enclosed Invoice for the work performedI did communicate with the owner to come back to address the few splatters of paint that were left behind by an employee of JT Interiors but the time was not convenient for the homeownerShe did tell me that she noticed the paint the day it happened but didn't feel comfortable asking my employee to clean up the messWe tried again but it was not convenient for our scheduleWe did use drop cloths on all the floors and we are very cautious of paint mishaps but every so often something does get left behind and this is not how we leave our job sitesI take pride in our work and we have a very reputable business and most of our work is based off of referrals from other customersTime passed and I honestly just had forgotten about itNot to disregard this intentionallyI was, however, asked to come back out about a month after I completed my job and give a bid on buiilding her a deck out back for a graduation event she was going to have in her back yard in June but she never mentioned anything about the paint splatters at this timeIwasn't able to do this due to the number of existing commitments and projects I had going on at the timeIt was then brought up to me again in a text message I received in July that the ceiling repair I had done had failed due to heavy rains we hadI discussed this with the homeowner asking them if they had a roofing contractor out to fix the leak prior to my doing the interior repairs on their ceilingThey in fact did notThe ceiling failed because the roof leak was not addressed not because my work was substandardThey were happy with the work and paid us in fullOnly after it rained in July did they get upsetOur insurance agent has gone out to the job site and was also told by the homeowner that this damage was caused from a leak prior to them moving in and they never repaired the roof I have met with him as well over this complaintHe agrees that the homeowner should have had the leak addressed prior to hiring my company to complete the interior damage done by the waterI refuse to refund any portion of my invoice amountIf need be I would be happy to address the paint issues at anytime if this is still a concern for the homeownerSincerely Wayne T [redacted] JT Interiors ***SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REDACTED BY Revdex.com***
