Ms [redacted] ,I am truly sorry for the late responseWe have spent considerable time on this matter and it seems clear that we are in the right regarding Mr [redacted] 's claim.I have attached a document (PDF) outlining a brief history of our doing business with him and how we came to the conclusion to terminate the relationship. We have no contracts except the invoices showing what services he hired us to doThese are over-the-counter services he requested and the scope is clearly stated on the invoices. Please post this as a final statement from usMr [redacted] has made his case and, though he has had numerous opportunities, has offered no evidence that he was defraudedWe will not be responding to any more replies from himIf he wants to have this issue reviewed by a higher authority, we will present our side there.Thank you for your timeI apologize for the Revdex.com having to get involved in this simple and straight-forward matter

Mr [redacted] came to us and said he wanted to publish a bookAfter reviewing his material, we told him he needed to have his hard-copy photos scanned into a digital format and he needed to have his type-written manuscript entered into Microsoft Word, a digital formatHe wanted sample books to send to publishersWe told him that these tasks would need to be performed before any production budget for layout, design, and printing could be proffered to him.He requested a budget for scanning and typingWe ran some time-tests and agreed to do the scanning at $and the typing at $600.After scanning and typing, we cut a disc of the scans for him to review and gave him a printout of the newly-typed manuscript for his review, telling him to indicate any typos or errors he finds so we can correct the digital file of the manuscript. He came back and showed me the multitude of typing mistakes we made and we told him we would correct them at no charge since we were responsible for such. After considering the difficulty with communication, his inability to access email or to do on-line PDF reviews, and his reluctance to drive his car to a library or to the [redacted] , we decided to back out of the job and refund his money for the typingWe returned his original, type-written manuscript so he could go elsewhere to have it typedWe returned the $he paid us to type.We also returned the $check he paid to have a number of more scans doneWe did not return the $he paid for the 550+ scans we put on the disc given to himWe performed the scanning for him and he will need it when he goes to have his book formatted for printing

[redacted] stated: "I am rejecting this response because: I do not think that this is settledI feel like the business used me and I paid for a service and it was not given to me in the matter discussedI do not think that this is rightI will be using a different publisher in the future who will pay me for the book and not the other way around."

I am rejecting this response because: *** stated :"I told this guy that I don't know about computers and all so I did not want the scansi have said this numerous times to himHe gave me back that was for the incorrect manuscript and the more pictures to add to the scans for the booksI do not think that anyone would accept these scans for publishing my bookI want to take my book to a company that will pay me for the book and create it and not me pay for the book first. If he decides to send me the 960, I will send the hard drive disk of the 550+ scan that he sent me unopened and I will bubble wrap the package and send it to him if he is wiling to refund me the $960.00."
