Ja Appliance

On 09/15/2018 I purchased a new KitchenAid refrigerator paid in full on a Visa charge card at a cost of $3,391.83 to be delivered on 09/24/2018. Just before the delivery date I was called by the salesman and told the item was on back order and would be delayed by 2 more weeks. After the two weeks passed I called and was told by the sales man that it would not be shipped for another month because of trade tariffs and trouble with their warehouse getting the item. I went to the store and asked for my money back and that I would like to just put down a deposit because it was taking so long. I was told that was not possible and he would have the store owner call me . I never got a call and today 11/05/2018 I called the store and the answering machine said they would no longer be in business. I have placed a dispute on my Visa card for JA Appliance for non delivery of the refrigerator. I have entered a complaint with the RI Attorney Generals office. It is my concern that this company never intended to deliver the merchandise and knew at the time that I purchased it that they were on the verge of going out of business.
