Mr*** stated he was willing to give 1/the money back and show him a receipt from a shop that repaints the car and he will give the other 1/2, within a year He is still willing to take care of the dents and big scratches even though the customer didn't pay for them the first time He is also willing to make these fixes + give 1/the money back

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10594680, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. This is *** *** with a complaint update against MaacoI didn't know where to update information so I'm
emailing you We went to get her car yesterday and yet again , poorly painted , scratches in paint , new dents in hood , broken horse emblem on side of car I'm done with them , I would like just the full refund and someone professional there to fully restart the paint job from scratch and do it over one tim Sorry for bothering you again but I just received the email from you guys about their response and I couldn't find a way to reply to it so I hope this reaches you . They did paint the car yes , but it had to be in their shop times to actually get it right (which it still isn't) and more dents were on the car that were brought to their attention and that's why lee gave her the $dollars back He gave her touch up paint instead of addressing the real problem which is painting it right so it wouldn't easily chip like it has He is being dishonest and I figured as much but I would like to persist a refund so I can take the car elsewhere to be properly painted .

My initial offer to [redacted]'s girlfriend on the 4th was to try and make it right. She says the dents & scratches weren't there when she dropped it off.  I cannot  say whether they were or not. Typically we try & itemize all issues on our invoice. The  paint was very dull when it came in & many times small dents are not visible. The left side of the car had decals & some type of graphic or wallpaper on it which could have hidden these defects. Since [redacted] and his girlfriend do not want us to touch their car  I will refund 1/2 of the money.  The reason they painted the car was because it was too unsightly to park at her apartment complex. I believe she can park it there now. She also said she would take it to her uncle to get a proper paint job for $4000.00. When this is finished within the next year I will consider refunding the other 1/2.We always try & give the customer what they ask for and I would say we failed on our part to communicate with the customer on what was to be done and what they expected.   [redacted]

I just expected a job to be done and it wasn't and since it wasn't I think a full refund is acceptable and I would walk away with no more issues . We gave them three chances or so to get it done right , not one. That is why I deserve refund because we did give them multiple chances to fix the issues and they didn't . So no point in having them do it again . If I went through all of this and didn't give them a chance , then I can understand . But with the rudeness , the constant taking time out of our plans to pick up and drop off car, her missing work without vehicle , I think that is reasonable . Let's see what he says after what I just said . Thank you .The car has already been peeling more to the point where we are already using the touch up paint he gave us . Pretty soon we can't park car at our own apartment due to their inability to paint it right first time . It came out with new dents which were pointed out to him . It's ridiculous to not be offered a full refund for the constant poor service and repair .

Maaco  repaired & painted this vehicle the week of April 13th. Attached is the original repair order signed by [redacted] explaining what we were going to do. The car was picked up on Saturday the 18th. The car was brought back and dropped on the 20th. They said it had a dent that wasn't there before and the paint was peeling. I did not say that They vandalized it. I said it looked like someone had vandalized it. The paint had been scraped off  of the deck lid near the wing with some type of sharp object and there was some dents in the drivers door.  I had a company called [redacted] come out to fix the door without painting it. They did not get there until the 23rd. [redacted] fixed the dent and we repainted the deck lid.  They attempted to pick up the vehicle on the 25th but pointed out that the paint still looked chipped on the deck lid. We took care of this & Rachel picked the car up on the25th. I had  charged her $40.00 extra for the [redacted] on the 23rd but I gave that back to her on the 25th.  We repaired only what was itemized on the estimate. If these issues were here why didn't they point that out when they picked it up and signed the paperwork saying they had inspected their vehicle and were happy with it?I don't feel a refund is appropriate. They had the car painted because it looked so bad they could not park it at her apartment complex and now she can.  I feel we did the best job possible under their budget restraints.     [redacted]

Attached is a copy of the invoice for Mr. [redacted]'s repairs. I did paint the car twice to try and correct his issues. I told him I would repair them again but he said no he would just take the car and have someone else do it. We did paint work on the car but also needed body repairs. The lines with a...

mark by them was body damage repairs performed that he does not have an issue with. You can see that they total $1237.50 which would more than offset the $800.00 wanted to strip the paint. I do not feel I should pay anything.   [redacted]

I feel that he received more than $800.00 of free work from us.  Lines 1 & 2 of the repair order was strip work which it needed any way. After he gets the work finished and I see a itemized invoice for the repairs I'll reconsider  the $800.00.   [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. "Reconsidering" does not help us with these costs added to our project to remove their faulty workmanship. In addition, the car DID NOT need stripped prior to your crew working on it & I have pictures & documentation to prove this. It had only one paintjob from THE FACTORY in 1972 on it when you started on it. It needs stripped now because you sprayed so many coats on it time and time again to attempt to fix the bad paint jobs your guys kept laying down on it & all the filled you slopped on it!
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
