Review: I HIRED RAIMUND F[redacted] TO REPLACE A ROTTED DOOR FRAME AND RE-HANG THE DOOR TO MY GARAGE BECAUSE IT WAS LEAKING AND ROTTED. MR F[redacted], CLAIMED HE ORDERED THE MATERIALS (WHICH WERE IN STOCK) - TAKING CLOSE TO 6 WEEKS TO COME TO MY HOME. I, REQUESTED, BUT WAS NEVER PROVIDED WITH A WRITTEN ESTIMATE BEFORE THE WORK WAS STARTED. I WAS JUST TOLD 'I'LL BE FAIR ABOUT THE BILL'. WHEN MR F[redacted] CAME TO MY HOME HE BROUGHT A SECOND PERSON TO REMOVE THE DOOR FRAME AND DOOR, RE-INSTALLING BOTH AND ASSURING ME THAT MY DOOR WOULD NOT, EVER, EVER, EVER LEAK AGAIN. THE DOOR HAS LEAKED WORSE THAN BEFORE AND CONTINUES TO LEAK DURING EVERY RAIN EVENT (EXCEPT WHEN IT IS A SPRINKLING RAIN). I CALLED MR F[redacted] OFFICE AND ADVISED THEM THAT THE DOOR WAS STILL LEAKING AND IT NEEDED TO BE FIXED. I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL BACK AND LATER A LETTER STATING THAT ' CLIMATE AND SEASONAL TEMPERATURES' WERE THE REASON MY DOOR WAS STILL LEAKING. I ASKED ANOTHER CONTRACTOR TO LOOK AT THE DOOR AND WAS TOLD THAT MR F[redacted] NEEDS TO COME OUT AND PROPERLY INSTALL, SEAL AND CAULK THE DOOR AS IT WAS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY. THE SECOND CONTRACTOR STATED THAT TO REMOVE THE DOOR FRAME AND PROPERLY INSTALL IT WOULD BE (1) PERSON, 2-4 HRS MAXIMUM AND MR F[redacted]'S HAD CLEARLY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF ME BY CHARGING ME FOR (2) GUYS - 6 HRS (WHICH MR F[redacted]'S SPENT MOST OF HIS TIME STANDING AROUND). MR F[redacted] HAS NOT MADE ANY ATTEMPT AT CORRECTING THE LEAKING DOOR.Desired Settlement: MR F[redacted]'S NEEDS TO EITHER FIX MY DOOR AND FRAME SO THAT IT IS WATER TIGHT AND NO LONGER ALLOWING WATER TO COME IN, OR HE NEEDS TO WITHDRAW HIS BILL AND I WILL HIRE SOMEONE ELSE TO REMOVE THE FRAME AND RE-INSTALL IT SO THAT IT IS WATER TIGHT.

IF MR F[redacted]'S COMES OUT TO FIX MY DOOR AND FRAME, I WILL WITH HOLD PAYMENT FOR 45 DAYS UNTIL I CAN DOCUMENT THAT THE DOOR IS NO LONGER LEAKING.
