Dear...
RevDex.com,
The first
email that our company received
regarding this complaint was an email stating the complaint had been closed without response. We would however
like to respond
as we take the allegations seriously and the complaint you received is incomplete and in some points incorrect.
We received
notice early July that a washing machine
had leaked in her rental unit. The new machine was on back order and not scheduled to be installed
until the end of August. We
had a company bring in equipment to dry out the water, but the drying machines
kept getting turned off by the tenant.
Laura was advised
that we could give her a 30 day notice
to vacate so that we could repair the property
or she could relocate temporarily to allow the machinery to be on 24\7.
She opted to relocate temporarily. For this she was given rent credits, laundry credits and utility credits,
totaling $1214.58. After she moved back in we had a plumber install
drainage pans in all of the units at the complex.
She vacated
the property 11/1 without prior notice required by the lease.
We however, refunded
the remaining deposit within 14 business
days per ARS as a measure of goodwill.
This check has cleared our account.
A copy of this can be provided
if necessary.
Sincerely,
[redacted], Designated Broker

My deposit with Journey was 900.00, I was a tenant at another property, when that property foreclosed, the deposit transferred to Stetson, and required additional money, however, using my deposit money for carpet cleaning is not acceptable, it was Journeys negligence with the water that required the carpets being cleaned, when I left the property, the doors upstairs were still unhinged, and propped up against the hall, their maintenance left drywall dust all over the living room, that is not my responsibility to clean, I had already started to vacate. Journey found it completely acceptable to call me at work and tell me I had one day to get out so maintenance to come in, they said 2 weeks, but is was three, when I told them I was leaving, they had a problem with a short notice? That is exactly what they did to my kids and I. I have documented this ordeal from day 1, I have pics of the scuffs and a hole in the wall left from their workers, I have had a lot of property damage from the water, Journey has been extremely neglectful of their property, and I refused to live in a construction zone so I left, I think I have every right to a full deposit for the stress they caused myself and my children for several months.
