To Whom It May Concern,Below please find our response to *** ***'s Complaint # ***The Vehicle in which Ms, *** had purchased was a Mercury MarinerOur shop maintains a high standard in inspecting our vehicles before putting them for sale on our lotWe are required by our
warranty company to provide a pre Inspection on every vehicle that is eligible for warranty products (as you will see attached with our ***)Ms*** had purchased this vehicle on her own free will and took possession and signed the bill of sale of the vehicle before giving us payment, which she had obtain through an Independent bank of her choosingDuring the signing of the documents Kelly G*** our financing Manager had offered her an extended warranty which Ms*** dismissed purchasingMs*** after purchasing the vehicle took her vehicle to her mechanic *** Service and RepairMs*** then brought the vehicle back to our service department and demanded that everything her mechanic found wrong be fixed or she would not pay for the vehicle that she had already signed the bill of sale for.As you will see we have repaired the items that were mention and again confirmed with *** at *** Service Repair on 01/29/with a phone call by Linda J*** confirming his recommended repairs*** at *** Service Repair did confirm that the type of tire did cause an increased amount of road noise as did our technicians in our service center agreeHowever, our technician did notice that the two front tires were cupped and we offer to replace the tires and give them to her at costThe tires and the vehicle met all of the specifications for the PA State inspection.We had tried to work with Ms*** and be fair even though she had held her payment to us on a vehicle that she had purchased and had taken to her mechanic and wanted repairs doneTypically, if a purchaser wants to take their vehicle to their own mechanic that is respectable, however to take a vehicle that she had already purchased, been offered a warranty on (We allowed her to bring payment in after she signed the contract and drove the vehicle off the iot) then comes into our service department demanding repairs by her mechanic be done, this is not acceptable business practicesWe had also given Ms*** a loaner vehicle to drive at no cost to her while her vehicle was in our shop for repairs.The vehicle that she purchased had a day or mile powertrain warranty on it as per the Buyers Guide that was signed by Ms***These repairs were not part of our warranty but we want tosatisfy and reasonably work to resolve any and all issues with our customersTherefore, we did the recommend repairs and offered her to purchase the tires at cost.We feel that we have gone above and beyond with the repairs and the options for the tires with Ms*** for her Mercury Mariner and are disheartened by her dissatisfaction with are company.Best Regards, Jody L***
