You have to understand that if he had told me he needed to bring others in to help him and how much he would charge me for each person, I would have told him "no" and to forget the matter; but he did not They just showed up at my door! When he quoted me $plus for a new toilet, I understood that to be the cost for their work and for a new toilet! Once my tenant told me that was just the cost for the toilet I felt it would be easier to buy a toilet on my own and have my son in law install itWhen they showed up at my tenant's door, he lied and said he had just talked with/me and that I said to install the toilet; which was a lie I told him to forget it and I would have my son-in-law install itMy tenant assumed he was telling the truth and let him in to do the workIt wasnt until after the work was done that I was notified about it He was very rude to my tenant and disrespectfulWasnt going to give me an actual bill, he wanted cash upfront until I said that I wanted to see exactly what I was being charged forWhen I had received the actual bill I had noticed I was being charged for parts that I had never approved ofAs a professional I feel they should notify you of what you will be charged for before they decide to do itHe also left the old toilet in the front yard - always thought they took the old materials w/them Do not feel I should have to pay for something that I did not approve of

ID [redacted]On Dec. 30, 2016 a lady named [redacted] called said she was calling for [redacted] who lived at [redacted]., phone # [redacted], she has a clogged toilet but was working until after 3. She had asked [redacted] to call for her. The office girl told [redacted] that we would call Ms. [redacted] later in the afternoon to go there. In the meantime, someone called from the above number & wanted to know when we were coming -told them we were on another job & would be there next but on your original call you told us you were unavailable until after 3 - that you would forward the information to one of the plumbers that you were home now. When we arrived, you told us the toilet had been pluggged up for several days - it was full of fecal matter clear up to the rim - tried to unplug it but could not. I told her I would have to take the toilet out & had called the shop for another man to help carry the toilet out to help contain mess. I asker her if she could get me a plastic trash bag - she gave me a piece of plastic to cover the bottom of the toilet. While waiting for help, I made a scoop & scooped 2 buckets of fecal matter out of the toilet so it would not slop over the side when removing it. When we got the toilet outside, we removed the rest of the fecal matter, a juice box, large quantity of gravel & a handfull of change from this toilet. The floor flange was also broken & you cannot set a toilet on a broken flange, therefore, 1 told her I could put a repair ring on it. We flushed the toilet out in front yard with several buckets of water & it worked. However, it would not flush from the tank when filling tank. Therefore, something had to be blocking siphon. She said she didn't understand so I told her I would show her once I had toilet back in place I explained to them that they could flush the toilet by using a bucket of water because the siphon was not working. I gave her a price of $335. for a new American Standard comfort height toilet - she told me to go ahead & order it, however, she called the shop later to cancel the new toilet - she said she would get her own toilet but could we come Tuesday & install it. I called on Tuesday - tenant said she would be available later in day & she would call us. She called & wanted to know if we could defer call to Wednesday because she was unavailable. I called on Wednesday & we made arrangements to go & install the toilet. If you did not want us to come & put the toilet in, why did you call us back on Tuesday & ask us to come on Wednesday, then when we called you Wednesday morning to make arrangements again you did not say that you did not want us to come. At no point had anyone said to us that the son-in-law was going to install the toilet. The Revdex.com letter was the first that I had heard of this. I did leave the old toilet, since we did not furnish the new toilet. This was an install only. I was not going to take the old one since I did not furnish the new one.All it would have taken was for someone, when we called, to say that you did not want us to come, which they had 2 different opportunities to do this when we called. In response to your claim that we did not call you it is obvious we did because you returned our call. In regards to your claim that we demanded cash is not true, we told you we expected payment when you were billed - I do not believe this is being rude. You told us you wanted an iitemized bill & we told you we would gladly furnish this. We called the tenant, which was the number you gave us & told her we wanted to deliver the invoice - she said to put it in her mailbox which we did. In the meantime, [redacted] called & gave the office additional billing information - her name & address of where she wanted the bill to be sent - which is the same invoice we forwarded to the Revdex.com upon request. We worked for this account previously & unplugged the toilet - where we removed a matchbox toy & a rock. She knew the charges from the previous service call. At that time she paid us with a check - check #[redacted]. We have charged her the exact same rates that we had charged her previously, however, this time it took more time which would mean a higher charge. The letter furnished to us by the Revdex.com has many inconsistencies in it which are easily disproved by them returning phone calls & setting up various appointments & them letting us in on Wednesday after they rescheduled the job from Tuesday. I believe the problem with this plumbing issue was it taking additional time to remove the juice box, gravel & change from the toilet, in which case these are not normal items found in most toilets & the continual use of the toilet that wasn't working properly.Jack D. Jan, 11, 2017Revdex.com Att: [redacted]Here is a copy of the itemized bill with explanation that has already been sent & delivered to Mrs. [redacted] in regards to our phone conversation that I had with her. You need to understand that this toilet was full of matter up to the rim,...

which made it necessary to get the second man to help take it outside to help minimize the mess. I also took the second man to change the toilet that she furnished to minimize the mess in carrying it out On the first day, that we took the toilet outside - we got a juice box, large quantity of gravel & a handful of change out of this toilet The floor flange was broken -I informed her that I would have to put new flange in to set the toilet I also told her she needed a new toilet - I could not get her a new toilet until Tuesday because of Monday being the holiday. I told her $335 for a new American Standard comfort height toilet - she told me to go ahead & order it, however she called the shop & cancelled the order for the toilet.  She asked if we could still comeon Tuesday & put the toilet in. When I called on Tuesday - tenant told me she was unavailable until Wednesday & to please call tomorrow. We installed the toilet that she purchased on Wednesday,If you have any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to call me on my cell phone at [redacted].

First of all I do not live at the house. I am the landlord and the tenant just so happens to be my granddaughter. This is why I called to have the bill sent to my address. I personally feel that if extra work was to be done and more people were needed, that he should have asked for my permission first. They also charged me for parts installed to the old toilet that I did not authorize, only for them to tell me I needed a new toilet anyways. Why should I have to pay for something that not only did I not authorize but also did not fix the problem with the toilet. They told me I would have to use the broken toilet (which they had broken the toilet seat off of) until the holidays were over.  They gave me a price of 350.00 to order a new toilet and install it. I agreed to it thinking that would be the price of everything together. Not realizing that that would be the price of the toilet itself. I called the very next day (Saturday) to cancel the order. He said it was fine because they had not ordered it yet due to it being a holiday weekend. I told them that I would purchase the toilet myself and have him install it Tuesday. When Tuesday came around we had called and they claimed that they could not come because his son was sick. We called Wednesday morning and were told the same thing. During this time I decided to have my son in law install it for me. I did not feel the need to tell them because we had not set up a specific date or time for them to install the toilet being that his son was sick. Wednesday afternoon he had called my house and left a message saying if we don't call him back within 10 minutes then they will be headed somewhere else. I still have the message on my answering machine. We did not call back being that I had decided to have my son in law install the toilet instead. Shortly after they had showed up at my granddaughter's doorstep. She was already under the impression that they were not to install it by this time and that my son in law was going to do it. She had asked them why they were there and they claimed to have spoken to me minutes before they arrived saying that I gave them permission to install it. They never called nor did I give them permission to install the toilet. My granddaughter assumed they were telling the truth so she let them in to do the work. She then called me to let me know they were there and I had no knowledge of it. I was still on the phone when Jack G[redacted] was demanding cash right away. He was very rude about it to her stating that he wanted paid right away because he does not trust people to pay when he sends them a bill. He also said he would stand there and charge me for his time until I came to pay him! She then handed me the phone so I could speak to him and he said the same thing to me. I asked him to give me the total and he told me 464.00. I did not agree with this amount being that I purchased my own toilet and I did not authorize him to come install it that day. I had to argue with him just for him to agree to even send me a bill. I believe everybody should recieve a bill so we are able to see what exactly we are being charged for. Not only did he charge me for things I did not authorize, did not fix the problem with the other toilet that they are charging me for, but he lied to my granddaughter about speaking with me prior to showing up at her doorstep saying that I had given him permission to do all of this. If she had known he was lying she would have never let him in to do the work. When they were done they never told my granddaughter that they wouldn't take the old toilet with them. They never asked where she would like them to put the old toilet. They decided to leave it sit in her front yard and leave it to us to take care of. They were very unprofessional and rude. They lied about speaking with me and charged me for things I did not authorize. I have never had this type of problem before and I do not feel that I should have to pay this amount.  I believe the only thing I need to pay for is $88 for his first time visit and the price of the flange (which I authorized).I did not authorize for extra people.  I did not authorize the other parts he has charged me for.  And I did not authorize him to install the new toilet. To sum it all up, the old toilet was not fixed, I was charged for the parts he wasted to "fix" the old toilet. We had to use a broken toilet with no seat for 4 days. And he lied to my granddaughter so that she would allow him into the house to do the work without speaking to me first.
