I did mail the release of liability to DMV but they did not record itI called DMV and they said that I can resubmit the release and they will record it, but the person I talked to at Jack James Towing advised me that filing the release now would not stop them from damaging my creditI sent them a copy of my bill of sale so they know that I was not the legal owner of the vehicle when it was towedThe legal owner was driving the vehicle when it was towedThey know that this is not a legitimate debt and yet they are still damaging my credit
