I have read your grievance letter written to the RevDex.com and I truly apologize on behalf of the Jack Key Auto...

Group for
how you feel that you were treated and how your particular deal was
facilitated. However there are a few items I would like to take time to address.
You did sign a used car discloser acknowledging that you were purchasing a
pre-owned vehicle and you were give a copy of a car fax and auto check
documenting the vehicles history in relation to the vehicles reputation and
rating. The used car discloser for that you signed brought to your attention
that there may be mechanical issues associated with the purchase of any
pre-owned vehicle. The dealership made a concerted effort to repair these
issues at the time of purchase for that we can surely provide maintenance
records showing you this. Furthermore at the time of delivery the vehicle was
inspected by both you and I and the vehicle did not display any signs of
significant issues. There was no rough idle and the check engine light was not
on. The dealerships position is clear when it comes to this; we will not sell a
vehicle or allow a customer to take delivery of a vehicle unless the vehicle
can pass a safety inspection in compliance of all state and local laws.
The vehicle that you purchased needed repairs that were
required with normal maintenance due to normal wear and tear. At no cost to you
the dealership repaired those issues mainly the O2 sensors. Because our service
department needed specialty parts in order to complete the repairs, you were
given a vehicle to use absolutely free of charge to use as to not inconvenience
you any further.
Approximately three weeks later you returned to the
dealership and brought to my attention that your check engine light was on and
you had concerns. You were absolutely correct in your statement when you said
that I advised you to take it over to auto [redacted], however the reasoning was as I
explained to you; before any warranty work is done on your vehicle there is a
$100.00 deductible plus a $98.00 diagnostic fee associated. There is also
additional money that needs to be paid if the issue your experiencing is not
covered under your service plan. I wanted you to be absolutely certain of the
issue prior to asking us to resolve it because if the issue had been a simple
fix you would have still been responsible for paying
those surcharges. On several occasions I referred you to our service department
and reminded you that I was not a mechanic and could not properly diagnose any
issue because I am not qualified.
I am sorry that you feel that you were taken advantage of
clearly that was not my nor this dealerships intentions. However to make things
right between us I am asking you to schedule an appointment with me at 955
South Valley at the Kia location and lets discuss all of our options and quite
possibly even trade in and upgrade your current vehicle.
I am certain that we can find a resolution to this most
troubling issue, one in which that can possibly be mutually beneficial to us
both. Make no mistake I would like the opportunity to correct this issue and
restore faith to you in our dealership.
Sincerely
