Mrs [redacted] purchased a Ford F-from our store 5/3/on that day we estimated the DMV fees on the truck, sometimes we can not be always right, unfortunately in this case we had missed that her current fees were due in days, therefore they were not collected, in a good faith effort and knowing that Mr [redacted] was ill we elected to pay the additional fees, at the DMV to bring everything current which was $we have receipts, therefore a balance was left, on the LAW 553-CA-ARB line 2-A, it clearly states estimate, which we explained to the customer, we even tried to work out payments on total, and settle for half knowing the situation of illnessThe customers son [redacted] refused therefore again in a goodwill gesture we just wrote off the amount, and in the future clearly explain to all customer we do are best to estimate DMV fees with calculator but are not always 100% correctwe are sorry Mrs [redacted] is not completely satisfied with this outcome even though we already agreed to write it off per telephone conversation with son ***....Thank YOU....Autotime Motors
I am rejecting this response because: at the time of sale we were not informed about any estimation the years registration was due the same month not days and simply typing estimate does not allow an open window to Bill undisclosed amounts and our good will is just fine so instead of explaining to ur customers that you really don't know what amount u expect them to pay used the tools available and figure it out this complaint will stay open until ur reply shows you taking responsibility for your mistake rather than making us out as crooks and u a hero in fact I'm gonna share it on Facebook groups too because I don't like your soreness about your own mistake u know u still made grand on the deal or u would not have sold it I have been to *** and bashers suck it up and be accurate in the future
