Complaint**.Jackson was recommended to me to repair my central heating unit which would not stop running.The unit had New Parts install throughout the system.**.Jackson was highly recommended to me to repair my Heating Unit that would not stop running on its own. It would not blow heat but cold air. [redacted] Jackson and[redacted] sons first visit was in February, 2014. I explained that the unit had all New Parts installed in December, 2013 by someone else that had taken a job out of town. The unit ran OK for around 1-month and began to do the same thing that was suppose to be fixed.One of his Sons was given the job to fix the problem. The son went and purchased a Limit Switch and installed it replacing the one installed in December. Before he could leave the house the unit was doing the same thing. He admitted that it was not the problem and I now have an extra Limit Switch.Upon the next visit I was told that the connection to the Circuit Board was loose and needed to be welded to the Circuit Board because it was moving and causing the problem. [redacted] Jackson said that he knew a person that would do the welding job and he would call me when he contacted this person. The weather changed so I did not need to run the heat. I waited until the beginning of October, 2014 to call them to have the part welded to the Circuit Board. He sent his son back to take the part to the welder. He returned about 2 days later and said that the Circuit Board was Not any good and he had purchased a USED one for $67. I did not authorize him to do that. I asked him how much was he going to charge me and he said $150 which I never paid him.He took the end that connects to the Circuit Board with him and said that the wires in that part was no good and he would look to find that part in some old heaters he had in his back yard. I asked him why not get it at the supply store that specialize in parts for my unit. He mumbled and said that they would not have the part.I said that if not in stock they would order it. He made a couple of trips and suddenly did not return and would not answer his phone.I did leave messages for him to call me back.After a week had passed, I contacted [redacted] Jackson and informed him that I believed his had Ripped me off with the Circuit Board. I explained to him that the parts were New and I wanted a New Circuit Board w/receipt.He explained that his son was out of town and that is why he had not returned my calls.He also said that he had told his son not to work on the unit at his own digression and he would return all monies payed.(At this point I had not payed anything). I was not told this until I talked with **.Jackson.About a week and a half later, his son called me and said that he could not find the part and suggested that I find someone else to fix the unit or let him and his father install a New unit.Not once did either of them say that they could not fix the unit.On 11/17/14 I called someone else to repair the Heating Unit.His report was: He found the plug to the Circuit Board was Defective, Circuit Board was old and Dusty, The Roll-out Switches were Cut out of the System(they are Safety Switches that should never be by-passed),replaced defective plugs that had been removed. **.Jackson's son caused me to have to buy parts all over again.He was Stealing parts from the unit when he was suppose to be repairing it.That's why he was making so many trips. **.Jackson was highly recommended, but his son was very dishonest in his Business practices. I would not Trust them again or Recommend them to anyone.Desired SettlementI would like to be paid for Parts and Labor that I had to pay because his son Stole New Parts from my Unit.The Total Amount is: $210.Business Response Company indicated that they sent the customer a check and that the check has been cashed.
