The repair of a Honda Civic CRV was performed on 06-05-thru 06-07-17.? Customer was given a quote to replace the front struts, tie rods, alignment and install her e-link kits.? While we were performing the work the tech also noticed that the lower ball joints were not installed? all the way into the control arm.? We called our customer and they wanted to fix it for some extra cost.? When finishing this part of the job, our tech forgot to replace a cotter key in the ball joint.? From this point our double check system failed.? Our mistake was not caught before the customer got it back.? This resulted in the Honda CRV coming apart.? After our customer contacted us with the issue we dispatched a tow truck and had it returned to the shop.? The broken pieces were replaced and the complete job was double checked by techs.? Our customer was not charged any additional cost.We have visited with our customer and expressed our apologies.? We have also sent them a refund for the portion of labor we failed on and also an oil change for their next visit.? We work hard to repair vehicles daily to a high standard of reliable and trustworthy status.? If we make a mistake we will stand behind it and make it right
