Unfortunately, there were no contracts signed between myself and the contractor.

There were no contacts prepared or signed, but on February 20, 2014 I did give the contractor a handwritten list of about 20 tasks to be completed, of which two were completed. When I asked for the list back on April 23 [redacted] told me he discarded the list the day before when I called him to discontinue service.
Review: I was charged for work that was not completed. (I was charged to have blinds removed. This was part of the 5 HOURS of labor I was charged for. The brackets were not even removed so simply pulling 4-5 pull-blinds out of the slot should have only taken about 5 minutes). I was charged for work that was reported to be done and listed on my bill but that I did not request be completed (checking doors - all of which were fine, fixing toilets - all of which were fine). The only work I requested on toilets was the removal of a sticker and a stain - never of which were completed.I was overcharged -- $500 to paint two wood stoves and two walls.I have no problem paying a fair price for the work that I requested to be completed that was actually completed, but nothing else.Desired Settlement: A reasonable price for the work that was completed is $400. I would like a refund for the other $400.
